Well, I have never been so disappointed in my life, one of the easiest manhunts we done, nothing special, no cut scenes, nothing at all, is that it massive, is that the end of the division??????? Sorry to say this but have definitely messed up with this one. I think you might have just killed game for good this time.
Apparently there is still more to come from Division. But I agree the Faye Lau ending was almost as bad as Keeners. I do hope there is more story or content for Div 2
https://www.pcgamer.com/amp/ubisoft-...ater-this-yearDuring a quarterly conference call today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that taking on a major new Star Wars game will not force it to halt work on The Division.
"We are very happy to be partnering again with Lucasfilm Games. The project will be headed by our Massive studio, who will make the most of their cutting edge technology, including the Snowdrop engine, to deliver a groundbreaking Star Wars adventure. We are very proud of this collaboration," Guillemot said.
"The Massive studio is a large studio, and they are also collaborating with lots of studios all over the world ... You're going to see more on The Division in this year and the year after."
I stopped having any kind of epxectations for this a few days ago. The apparel event made me realise that this manhunt was most likely be given very little resources, time and care.Originally Posted by Thunderdome. Go to original post
Still, I gotta say that I feel like this mission rework was particularly poor, if we can even call that a rework. I played it solo so I don't know if things play out differently in a squad but some aspects almost felt nonsensical. Like random SHD tech chests spawning a single striker drone here and there... What in the was the point of that? I played solo heroic and it honestly didn't serve any kind of purpose, didn't pose a threat or add to the difficulty either, it was just there.
You also get 1 of those modified EMPs we discovered during Jupiter's Manhunt but contrary to that mission, it doesn't fit into the "story". It's just 1 EMP in a controlled environment so it's not like it's magically making the mission challenging. Then a few turrets, okay...
I don't know, it really feels like this manhunt was put together exremely quickly by recycling a few elements and assembling them with no vision, scheme or purpose. Like when someone give you 2 hours to do a 2 days job. To me, the mission felt, stale, awkward, weird and boring.
Of all the manhunt missions, this was my least favourite. Even Coney Island, that was certainly lazy and kinda ridiculous at times, at least had some kind of identity and a particular feel to it. This one I felt nothing.
The story is basically dead. At this point they need a new game to revive and progress it. I can't see any kind of purpose in what we've been doing regarding the plot. We killed Keener and his rogues, Hornet and his rogues, Schaeffer and his Rogues, Jupiter and her Rogues, Circe and her Rogues, Faye Lau... I mean, it's just more of the same over and over again. To make things worse, when we finally do get to a major character that could be a good opportunity to progress the plot, we get a few lines of dialogues and that person dies, adding almost nothing to the storyline, every single time.
President Ellis, lol, we've been chasing that guy around for a while now, man just drops dead off-screen and it had 0 impact on me, nor did Lau's death tbh. Everything is just becoming more and more meaningless.
As for Lau's defection, the "reasons" she gives are just generic stuff we've heard from Black Tusk before. So that too was pretty much pointless.
It's still one hell of a game, I have a lot of hours on it so can't complain there. The issue I have is that excluding the RAID that I don't even play, since WONY, there's been a huge gap between what they're trying to sell us as content and how much time, care and dedication is actually put into it. The apparel event is a good exemple of how they operate and market their content, they've been abusing that formula for too long.
I ran the mission twice - audios and all that - and it was just an average Division mission really. Nothing special or unique to it. Some props were moved around, there is the use of SHD crates to spice up the fights a little (which was wasted on me as I ran it with the jammer), but on the whole it was Camp White Oak with slightly different spawns and combats. The lack of closure for the mission was a real let down. I understand they have left a small team to keep working on the Division, but is it that small that they can only do one or two unique things with the other Manhunt missions but not the Season 4 finale? And as others have said, where was the cutscene or anything for closure on one of the core NPCs The Division games? We aren't even left on a cliffhanger just, "Yep, she's down, here's the helo." Nothing about the president's death except "hey, we'll see what happens next." How is that meant to buoy me up to be looking forward to whatever the next content will be?
If they are going to keep making content for 2021-22 as the financial report claims, if they're actually going to carry on the storyline, then I hope for goodness sake MASSIVE gives the TD2 team the resources they need to do a decent job of it, because I am already questioning whether I will buy any future season passes/whatever they do next. I just fear that MASSIVE are too excited to be working on their Avatar & Star Wars projects and as such they don't seem so interested in the Division anymore.
She did say she wasn't going to come quietly, so she might still be alive.Originally Posted by BikermeB Go to original post
If all that's coming is seasons, the game is over for me. I don't ever want to see lazy seasons implemented again. I love this game but it needs real content. DLC with a MAJOR map expansion, not Coney island level, additional game modes, more raids or raid like activities, etc. I seriously never want to play Federal Emergency Bunker or Jefferson Trade Center ever again.
Im not sure if this was a bug or intended, but once the misson was completed and the misson stats came up, lots of black tusk suddenly spawned at the heli she was trying to escape in. Then another heli came in the middle.
Was that meant to be a diversion for her escape? But it was delayed and bugged?
This was in a matchmade group
