Ok, so I disagree with a lot of people here. Not enough time to point everything out but let me tell you guys something.
First, the episode 3 dlc is lazy asf, we were killing Bodark commanders looking for revenge but that’s it. Everybody else was sentinel or wolves at times. We didn’t fight against bodark’s because Ubisoft is lazy. It was a cash grab dlc.
Second, optical camo introduced because of lazy reasons? Are you serious? The AI can hide from enemies and keep its distance and they also use synch shoot only if there is a LoS.
Unlike Wildlands and Breakpoint were your teammates are invisible (unless you **** up and decided to give them orders which is going to get them spotted) and get in front of enemies and shoot through walls, mountains and whatever stuff while synch shoot. That is the definition of lazy right there. GRFS? Was well made, better animations and dialogue but hey some people live on their own reality.
Lastly, unrealistic.
Well…. maybe but probably not.
Does it exist in real life? No. But has it stopped production? Nope.
There are still a lot of projects and research done by DARPA and ROSTEC to find away to implement it and with-it other technologies.
May it be expensive? Yes, but that’s why technology improves overtime. Do you think that it was cheap to do that small computer like thing you are using today that’s called a phone? It was a luxury at the beginning but now, we have seen very cheap devices that are sometimes, better than those Samsung/Apple devices people spend a lot of money on. The same thing with cars. Are electric cars becoming standard? Nope, but they will one day.
Technology evolves and the same goes for warfare. Some soldiers use smaller drones the same way the Ghosts use them, for recon. That’s the point of Tom Clancy titles, the what if, the future. Do Ghosts exist? No but there are similar forces out there, do you want to get rid of them because it’s to “unrealistic”?
Tom Clancy is about tactical shooters mix with fantasy. The fantasy of something that’s possible in the future. Maybe not in the years the game take place at but who says that it wouldn’t be possible in the future? Are you guys so scare of technology that you rather not have them on a VIDEOGAME at all?
You are crying about optical camo and yet, you don’t mind using NVG for thermal vision LMAO. To this day there are no devices that can give both visions at the same time, plus all the other type of visions that got introduced on Splinter Cell. In Double Agent there was an upgrade that gave you color night vision and guess what? Is a reality. It took years from the idea of DA to real life but it’s here.
So, don’t come to me and tell me that it won’t be possible because that’s being close minded.
