So they made a DLC tie-in with Future Soldier and Bodark? Your logic kinda falls apart there. Besides, right now Future Soldier & Wildlands is seen as the gold standard on Reddit which is much more popular than the forums. Rose-tinded in many ways but the majority want the next GR game to be Willdlands 2 or Future Soldier 2, some even want the both combined.Originally Posted by ArgimonEd Go to original post
Yep I read that a lots of people actually want an open world future soldiers 2 and it would be amazing.. but a part from thatOriginally Posted by KUZMITCHS Go to original post
Even if there are people who don’t like FS stuff, it doesn’t make sense not to implement them, cause this way, if you like it then it will make you happy and you’ll use it, if you don’t like it you just don’t use it.. it’s a win win but at least we would have the choice you know?
There are elements from Future Soldier that I like and FS is what introduced me to the franchise. But if the next game would be a reboot that would return the series back to the roots in a modern setting, I wouldn't be against it.Originally Posted by raptor2-40delta Go to original post
I played also the previous GR, reason why I’d love to have the xm8 in the game, bring back many memories😂 but yea future soldiers was the peak and the one that made me stick with ghost reconOriginally Posted by KUZMITCHS Go to original post
I honestly wouldn’t mind any setting for the next GR as long as they bring the best mechanics from Wildlands and Breakpoint.. like, if I shoot an unaware target with basically no protection, one shot should be enough like in wildlands, not 2 like in BP
But I also want the customization and gunsmith we had in wildlands with improvements of course.. a nice evolution would be making vests and helmets actually useful and not just aesthetics
My logic doesn't fall apart, ubisoft is just being ubisoft.Originally Posted by KUZMITCHS Go to original post
But taking into consideration Bodark from FS had all the gizmos that the ghost had.
They weren't introduced in the DLC were they?
The dlc was mainly focused on raven’s rock we never encountered any bodark, they just gave us the gears and masks, nothing more.. and even in FS not all bodark had optical camo, just the elites that we met in one or two particular missionsOriginally Posted by ArgimonEd Go to original post
So it would still make 100% sense that if they give us hunter team gears too, then we might see optical camo for both.. cause also as far as we know the hunter team was the one with optical camo, all other ghosts didn't, it’s expensive stuff and there are not just 4 ghost you know
Yes we've encountered several Bodark in the DLC.
Most of the commanders we had to eliminate were bodark.
Several of the guys we eliminated in the ground, when they weren't sentinel, they were Bodark.
And as to your comment on only the elite of bodark ..
Man, Bodark is the elite, it's a Russian Tier 1 spetnaz group, comparable to the GST teams.
The soldiers we faced in the game (GRFS) that didn't had all the high tech gizmos, were russian VDV.
"Bodark, officially known as the Special Training Unit 500, was an elite Russian Spetsnaz unit comparable to the Ghosts. Highly trained and disciplined, their name comes from the myth of men who choose to become wolves. Or more specifically, werewolves.
Most of Bodark members and leaders went rogue by allying themselves with Raven's Rock, a group of nationalistic and influential politicians, soldiers and weapon dealers"
This was taken from the wiki of GR.
As in what you said about the gear being expensive that's why only hunter team was using.
GRFS states that it was a prototype and they were to test in combat.
The game also state that Bodark has more and theirs is more advance (since they can run and walk in any stance without losing the invisibility capabilities.)
There is also around 10 enemies using invisibility gear in the mission where you are protecting the russian president that is in the middle of a protest with russian citizens.
So, yeah.
No
First thing first.. we took out the commanders of bodark, all the others were sentinel, if they were called bodark then well they weren’t dressed as thatOriginally Posted by ArgimonEd Go to original post
As there are many ghosts there are many bodarks so your point is still invalid as to why we didn’t get bodark with optical in the last dlc
If there are 100 ghosts, 4 are with optical camo, if there are 200 bodark, maybe 20 have optical camos and in the game you never see them running just walking so as for it’s more advanced we still have to see..
and also, yeah we definitely could use optical camo in breakpoint, you don’t like it? Don’t equip it, it’s very very easy.. but leave the choice to us Future soldiers fans the possibility to use it, both as bodarks or as ghosts. You still proved my point, not every Bodark or ghost has it so it’s pretty fair that in the last dlc it wasn’t introduced, also because, if you introduce optical camo, you do with the hunter team not with bodarks.. and as for the fact that it was a prototype, yes, the backpack was a prototype of it, in FS we still see a prototype but already far more advanced, it’s only right that in BP set one year later we see something even more adjusted.. but as I said, it needs to be implemented because of the many people that wants it, if you don’t like it, don’t use it there’s literally no point telling us that it’s too futuristic, cause it’s not, in the game we’re in 2025, you don’t want this stuff there’s cod which is a viable option.. oh and by the way there are already existing materials that work similar to optic camos in real life so even your point that it’s too futuristic doesn’t make much sense
1. In GRFS the Bodark appear in 3 occasion, Rescuing Osadze, Protecting the president and russian people protest, and they appear in the last mission when you are clearing the farm after eliminating one of the Ravens rock leader, all these times they were using Optical camouflage. (They appear in Osadze mission in a cutscene after you jump from the bridge).
2. They appear running in the area in the 2 missions you fight against them.
They can shoot their weapons without becoming visible and they can walk standing up (all of this already show that their optical camouflage is better).
3. Optical camouflage in real life requires 2 thing, one camera filming what's behind the person and a projector, or a kind of solid material that is almost like an glass that bends the light but still leaves sort of like a shadow, nothing that can make your clothing and body disappear like in the games, we are not even close to it (So yes, it's not even plausible to see it in 2024 or 2025).
4. They could have very well introduced optical camouflage being used by the 4 bodark commanders in episode 3.
5. Hunter team is the only one using optical camouflage because they are testing it so it can be used by all ghost's in the future, why wouldn't the bodark do the same if theirs is better.
6. Wow, now this is stupid and childish, if you don't want it go play another game...
Why dont you go back to GRFS? Oh but you don't need to use it...please, if they made a campaign in Year 2 based on hunter team and its tech, all the missions would be tailored for the tech, playing the missions without using it wouldn't be possible.
