Bottom line is that Breakpoint has improved from what it was upon release. However Nomad still can not navigate a flight of stairs as a soldier would, let alone go down a slight incline, or go thru a doorway. To say nothing of these introduced mechanics in attempting to enter a vehicle, especially the gunner's position.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
Here's an example of what I'm getting out of spending time in GRB; simply capturing these great moments:
Say what? The instant removal of dead bodies in Wildlands is also completely inexcusable.
BTW, clear a location in GRB from one end to the other; what can happen to those earlier bodies? They will disappear depending on the location's size as well as how much time you spend at that location..
That there's a better mechanic in GRB over GRW regarding bodies is great, but let's not get carried away with descriptions of what takes place in GRW.
LOL -- No need. They're available at most Skell Tech locations ...Originally Posted by Stenbern Go to original post![]()
Agreed. Hopefully after all the feedback that this forum has provided the dev team for the next game will have a good idea of what would work and what would not. I think the fact that BP has changed so much since release is cause for some optimism, though admittedly it... wasn't ideal... at release.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
To be clear, silenced gunshots from afar they will hear, but they won't react to me popping a colleague of theirs downstairs when someone is upstairs. That is a guaranteed yellow alert in Wildlands for the enemies within earshot. It does happen that I kill a sniper on the roof and an NPC one floor below will get the question mark and yellow icon, but that's not always. It's so inconsequent.Originally Posted by Ageless93 Go to original post
Same as disabling the generator by hand. In Wildlands enemies from all over the base would go in alert status (yellow) because the generator went down. In Breakpoint they don't care less. Unless you blow it up.
Just played two hours of BP, managed to lead a guy away who was being guarded by a drone. Threw a Mk3 EMP at the drone, ran up to the guy and led him to safety. Worked a charm.
I felt sorry for the guy though, the bastards had cast him into the concrete ground surface.
I'm playing with headphones on and noticed that the Fen Bog Port now had noise. Deafening noise even at the back, where that submarine laid. But there's nothing there that generates that noise. The fog in Fen Bog is fun to drive in at night with headlights on... you can't see crap.
Seen this at that port, see if you notice what's wrong.
Then, apart from friendly fire, I could also do without the rolling commentary of my team members about the shots I make and "guy over there", as well as magnetically sticking to every vertical surface Nomad comes across. Sees wall, sticks to wall. Sees tire, sticks to tire. Sees box... etc. And the shoulder swap bug from Wildlands seems to have come over. Where you start looking over Nomad's right shoulder, stick to something or throw something and all of a sudden you're looking over his left shoulder.
Last, what are those red circles and dots on the map (and also minimap)? Although I think I only have them when I play in Vulkan.
Someone took a Sharpie and started doodling?
Edit: I see that was my 999th post. I should stop now, right?
The red dots indeed - looked to see what might be there - nothing. So as is par with this mess of a game - what gives?Originally Posted by Ageless93 Go to original post
Go for that 1000th post - you get a cake ...
Well, I did that to the map that came with my edition of WL; in the hopes of navigating the world only by using that and the in-game compass.Originally Posted by Ageless93 Go to original post
Thus becoming the perfect in-force hiking simulator it was designed to be.
I have noticed body clean up happening in GRB recently after awhile. I wonder if that’s new as I don’t remember that happening before. If so, it’s an odd regression. But at least, as far as I can tell, it won’t help you maintain stealth like the instant body clean up in Wildlands. Literally, once the body was no longer in your FoV on screen in Wildlands it disappeared, unless the mission had special programming to maintain bodies like El Cardinal (that’s the only one I know for sure that would maintain dead bodies). In 99% of situations, you could preserve stealth being compromised by a dead body discovery simply by looking away.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
