one thing I noticed between world design between wildlands and breakpoint is that wildlands is way more open with vasts stretches that allow you to see for miles and really just sit back and view the world
I can only think of one province in breakpoint where that is possible for the most part it feels far more claustrophobic most likely to add to the feeling of being hunted the problem with that is at no time in the game do I feel hunted ever so now you don't really get to take in the world
honestly the reason I haven't switched my computers wallpaper from the WL concept art to the BP one is exactly because of that

True. Same for the MicroT1xG33 which is only available for the ARX200 and an SMG. There are still many things that should be addressed. Personally I would like to see:Originally Posted by masterotheforce Go to original post
- Acog and MicroT1xG33 available for all ASRs
- Long range scopes available for ASRs
- Gunsmith improvement on the LMGs and DMRs. Especially the former (ability to add silencers, change stocks, more scope options etc)
- Addition of long barrels for ASRs
- Correct calibers for all weapons (no more M82 and TAC50 chambered in .338)
- Ability to change the nvg and thermal vision filter
- More weapons (Mk18, Mk16, M110 / SR-25, PSG1, MCX, ACR, MDR, LVOA-C, R4, M40A5, MSR, DSR-1)
- Reduce the vision of the enemy AI in fogged areas of the map and during night time
- Vests with better setups
- Improved enemy and teammate AI (though unlikely)
- Ability for the teammate AI to use grenade launchers, grenades and rocket launchers
- More AI commands
- Ability to remove or change the second primary of the teammate AI.
And if adding more weapons is difficult due to the large number of weapons in the game, they can remove some of the Shorty and Scout variants. I doubt majority of the community uses most of them
I don't believe anyone could honestly say, Breakpoint is the same broken game it was when it was released. Ubisoft has done a great job improving the game, from multiple bug fixes, to adding new options to customise the game to create your own perfect Breakpoint experience.
In my opinion, the new DLC content is enjoyable, even more so than the main campaign. The live events, while fun on the first playthrough, had game mechanics that made the thought of replaying them a chore. Because of this, the idea of turning on the world parameter options, to simulate the live events during normal gameplay, never entered my mind.
All in all, Breakpoint is a greatly improved game. Nuff said.
Chris, I am impressed, and dumbfounded at the same time, how you can change your mind about the game week in and week out, more so for sticking to it and finding the little kernels underneath of the bull crap. One of these days I am going to have to get on a new character, dress him up to the eyelids and go out on my own Role Play scenario using your missions as a platform and see if I can get the same juices flowing like most of you guys do.
Congrats again.
.....really depends on what you felt was broken about it though.Originally Posted by Icetyger4 Go to original post
I will agree Ubi has made big improvements though by adding things the community has asked for essentially changing this game greatly from what it was when released. The problem for me is that the "perfect Breakpoint experience" is still a "Breakpoint" experience. .....not a perfect GR one in my opinion.
.....but it really comes down to what you're looking for in a game. For me, games usually have elements I don't particularly like and others I do. With BP, it just so happens that the cons still outweigh the pros but that list is going to be different for everyone. By comparison, I felt WL had more pros than cons and found quite a bit of value in that game.
I'm glad they committed to making the drastic changes they did, scrapped their original plans that were obviously not what most fans wanted and tried to give players something closer to the experience they wished BP could be. ....changes that helped at least salvage the game to some extent from certain death.
My hope is that they can at least apply what they learned from BP to the next GR title and expand on what they started here. I will say that it's sad they couldn't do the same for GW but it is what it is. I'm glad more folks are enjoying the game now though.
There was supposedly a Uni scope system in the works... What happened to that.Originally Posted by AvengerGR35 Go to original post
I'm in the opinion that when you make a specific note of what's good, you should also make a specific note of what's (still) bad.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
Now next I'm not going to address all your points, just the ones that jumped out at me.
This depends on the situation though. If you keep looking at the body it'll stay. If you stop looking at the body, there's a good chance it'll disappear, leaving the blood stain and dropped goodies behind.- It is awesome that dead bodies don’t disappear and you can shoot a body after it’s dead.
40 on one base, two of which ground drones, doing a mission to activate a computer.- I like that facilities have lots of enemies… I’m guessing anywhere from 10-20 per facility… but some could use more.
The problem with these missions is replayability, especially on smaller bases, where the thing you have to do is approachable only in two ways and enemy coverage around the objective is high.
Like here:
You can only go in through the stairs at the front or a ladder in the back, but when I am soloing it's impossible to shoot all 7 enemies without one of them alerting the whole base. And sorry, but the sync shot drones, a) I forget about them half the time, because b) I find them cheating. I try to go into bases with just a pistol and kill everyone that way, without anyone alerting everyone else. It's possible to do this in Wildlands in the biggest Unidad bases, it's not possible to do that here. Especially when you allow the drones.
If only they were lurking around, but they talk so damn loud you can hear them over two hills. Now with echo-y tin sound as well in a lot of places.- I like that when I’m out in the wild, there are enemies lurking around
They can use throwables, but how many times do you see them do it? I'm re-watching Achievement Hunter's HALO LASO episodes and am jealous at the amount of grenades the enemies throw there. Okay, maybe they're over doing it at times, but that's LASO. I would expect the enemies here to react lightning fast as well when playing on highest difficulty level and shoot and throw everything they have at me. They don't. Plus they still can't climb ladders.- Improve the AI - so they can climb ladders or use throwables (Fixed)
It's its, not it's. You don't type hi's or her's either, do you? So, please stop abusing the apostrophe in its. Here, let Weird Al educate you:reared it's ugly head
But it's not fixed. Enemies shot will still utter a cry when shot in the head. Heck, the devs liked it that much that they're doing it in Wildlands as well.the screaming head-shots. (Fixed)
No, that's an option. It's either All on, every so many seconds to minutes eat sand, dirt, grass or whatever else you're on, or the option is None. And then you can relax. Until you hit the buglet I am looking into where helicopters still harass me.- Tone down the constant fly-overs (Fixed).
Yes, this Breakpoint is a different game than the one I fell into in October 2019. But it's still a dead game environment, no matter how beautiful it all looks. At least in Wildlands you can get out of your car and see people NPCs do things. Like chopping meat, working the land, looking at things in the market, just walk places, threshing hay, have a yelling fight, have a life. That game feels vibrant, alive. Whereas Breakpoint still feels dead to me. But maybe they're testing things, what with the 40 enemies. Maybe they're checking if the game can take this amount of enemies plus other NPCs without crashing. I hope so. But I don't think we'll see scientists roaming the roads on Auroa any time soon. Or do anything else than cower under a desk, or telling me to get out of their hair.
Now then, where's my request to please please please be able to shoot my AI team members for telling me to put the silencer on?
I want this feature too. They will either walk right in front of me just when I'm about to take a shot or they will lose sight of the guy I told them to sync shot even if he's standing out in the open. Majority of the times that I mess up a stealth approach is because of the teammates. The option to enable friendly fire is welcomed. I will riddle them with bullets every time they duck upOriginally Posted by Ageless93 Go to original post![]()
