    Switching Android Phones

I've finally bitten the bullet and got a new Android phone (a Samsung Galaxy A12, to be precise).

My major concern when switching phones has been transferring all my data across - and Rebellion is no different. I've put quite a bit of effort into the game, and I'd really rather not lose it all... again.

So... without using Facebook, will I be able to move my save data from my old phone to the new one and have it still work?

I'm sorry but at the time there isn't any other way to transfer a saved game on Android to another device if it hasn't been linked to Facbook. I know it seems bothersome but it might help to make a false account only for gaming so you can easily transfer the game on multiple devices. Also if anything happens and you require to uninstall the game for any reason, your data will be lost.

You can always try to reach out to the Support team but I don't think you can transfer the game without linking it

Dear Khaleesi, Thank you very much for your very valuable and useful answer
As you said, the only way to do this is to open a Facebook account and transfer information from the old device to the new device in this way.

    Well, that's incredibly lame.

    ...sigh...

    OK. Fine. Next question.

Say I link the game to my mother's Facebook account, and then connect/load/whatever it when I'm on my new phone. Can I then unlink it from Facebook?

So the problem is that if you link to FB, You can not (or so it has been reported) unlink from FB.

UBI promised 5 months ago that they were working on an Android solution at the time they announced that they launched a iPhone solution.

If you ever linked your account to FB you will loose all progress if you try to link to the iPhone or proposed Android solution.

This is a summary of things reported in other links about this issue. Don't know if this is true but it is based on answers from Bunny.

This has been a known issue since before the game was in pre-launch beta. Only about 50 months since it was first reported on the forum. And has been said to be taken to development by almost every forum moderator since the forum was opened.

I don't honestly expect it will ever be solved. They fixed it for iPeople, but us second rate Androids don't count... I guess.

    Yeah, that's what I figured.

    *curses under breath*

...guess I'm hanging onto my old phone for now.

My own experience last year - I changed my android phone. I created a FB account, linked the game to it, transferred my progress to the new phone, and unlinked from FB. No progress was lost. But since, reports of lost progress after unlinking started to flourish, so maybe I was lucky.
