    Some positivism

After seeing so many threads about crashes and whatnots just wanted to add my own experience .

got home , downloaded the update , small one 5Gb , its was fast , as soon as i start loading the game i get the message i have some new goodies , i go check and they are there , exclamation mark and all , after that played the game for a few hours with GE activated and had absolutely no strange lags or crashes , everyhting just worked the same exact way it was working before the update.

the only bad thing about this update was the lack of anything fresh to do , apart from that i cant complain at all.

i obviously dont doubt some people are having issues and i feel for them but i also strongly believe at least half of those issues are caused by something that stands between the chair and the keyboard , the user itself , and it pains me to see so many people calling the DEVS bad names and cursing when the users themselves are the only ones at fault because the only thing they know about PC gaming is where the power button is.

sorry about the rant and call me a fanboy all you want but its part of my job to deal with similar problems and the NR of people who say out loud they refuse to even read instructions manuals prefering to proceed to blame the product , manufacturer , seller or all of them for their own ignorance is frankly disgusting this days and im sure a lot of the ones complaining in this hate threads are the same kind of people , to those i say wiseup and stop making a fool out of yourself.

    /rant out

Your post doesn't really come across as positive, but I've experienced many bugs with this game that happen with every gameplay session.

Division 2 is mostly fun but the bugs ruin the experience along with certain outdated gameplay decisions. Maybe time for some devs to retire so they can reminisce about the 80's & Ubisoft could get some fresh new talent to replace them.

I've had many CTD & screen completely freezing up, bugged items, bugged skins, unresponsive controls, skills not activating, grenades not exploding, seeker mine bugged, Sticky Bomb Launcher bugged, issues with cover (using or moving from & to) where I'm suddenly leaving cover or vault over it to end up shot or dead, like the controls glitch out. Had this in Assassins Creed too with glitched controls, always when fighting the enemy.

There's no way this game should be considered to be in a "finished" state at all. There's plenty more work that's needs doing on basic things which is surprising with how long the game has already been out & this not being Ubisoft's first game.

If this was a cleanly running game with regular, competent updates and communication from the devs, I would agree with you 110%.

    However.....

This is a situation the devs have created for themselves with extended radio silence, cancelled events, persistent bugs that last months at a time(and some of which still haven't been fixed or even acknowledged).

And it's difficult to fault a person for being angry when their game works flawlessly before a patch, then has nothing but problems after a patch. It should not be upon the players to fix problems created and released by the development team. Nor should it be beyond reason for paying customers to be angry when the overall quality of the game has suffered CONSISTENTLY from poor quality assurance and testing.

I'm glad you're having a flawless experience. But trying to point the fingers at the players is, in this case, MASSIVELY out of line. (pun intended)

I've been away for months and I can say this feels fresh and awesome on PS5 for me. It's still the same stuff but feels 100x better with the frame rate bumps. I loathe the fact that two years on I still have turret no-fire glitch issues but this patch gives me optimism for div3. Now, scrap future content and give me a div1 patch just like this one plz

I have been working in software development industry all my life and are quite familiar with the RTFM quote that is used for customers that have non-issues. With that said maybe you could point some players into the direction of where to find an actual manual for this game, I never seen one. Apart from it not existing the issues people are having at the moment won't be included in such manuals, and surely aren't things they can solve themselves.

The problem with this franchise is that the general coding is so bad no decent developer likes to work on it, and just prefers to avoid it, knowing that whatever they do isn't going to turn out well. Many software companies have these products, they start of well but in the end contain to much spaghetti code to be properly maintained. I usually never have issues with the game as well (besides few bug here and there) but that doesn't mean therefor other people can't have any either. No system is equal, not even the same hardware component you can put into it, they are all different.

Luckily for the crashing issue that is plaguing the game at the moment there seems to be a work-around (!), at least it did help to solve the issue on my side.

Does anyone know if a hotfix or something got released? Because I've played several hours in two different sittings now....zero freezes. Zero changes to hardware, software, or game settings.

This is one of the most baffling, inconsistent, ongoing issues I've ever seen in a game. I'd like to think I'm pretty well-versed and savvy when it comes to troubleshooting stuff like this. But damned if this makes any sense to me right now.
