    PSA artillery turret

Just wanted to share this small tip i see many people refering to as a bug .

have you ever wondered why the red circle just gets locked in a certain area and you dont seem to be able to aim the damn thing anymore ?

that is not a bug , that is a feature , and a very helpful one , lets say you want to have it aimed at a choke point and want to shoot enemies without having to aim the turret for it every single shot, you double click and that fixates the red circle , double click again and its free aim again.

this isnt described anywhere in the HUD and i took more time than i would like to realize it too because i thought it was the thing acting up like a locked assault turret , hope this helps a few people.

Very cool, I just started working on an explosive build, this will come in handy.

Now why are named so hard to kill with explosives? A full red build and you can tear them up with an AR. Full skill build and you can shred them with a drone and assault turret. But with a full skill build artillery turret and seeker mine you can unload on one and they take it like a champ........????? Sure they got better resistance to bleed and explosives but it's a bit ridiculous.

Didn't we explain this months ago? It's come up in literally every discussion about the mortar....

There's some tricks you can do with this technique too. If you double click to lock the target in place so that the trajectory hits a wall or ceiling, you can bounce shots sometimes. Takes a lot of practice, and exploding yourself, to get right. But man is it fun when it works!

And just as an addtional FYI, the double click works with other skills too. Drones will return to you. Stickybombs will insta-fire. Hives will drop at your feet instead of being thrown. Etc etc etc.

Because when you use explosives you split the damage on every piece of armor the enemy is wearing, the other methods deal the full damage on a single piece of armour, breaking it.

I read that before on here but recently tried a fire canister & it launched another. I read a double click would ignite the charge. Maybe it was not fast enough? or?

You need to double click while not aiming to light it on fire.
