Ubisoft Paris's answer to clipping clothing. Pure Laziness.

I'm going to talk about this because no one really does. I've brought this up in the past and yet the Devs still do this. Ghost Recon Breakpoint has hoodies in the form of the following tops: Hoodie 1, Rainstorm Coat, Sports Jacket, Zipped Hoodie, Urban Hero Jacket, Large Rainstorm Coat, Crye Compact Ghillie, Arcturus Ghost, Bodark Jacket and in the Tree Leaves Ghillie Top. All of these have extended hoods that have been removed and altered due to to clipping issues. EVEN PAID CONTENT FROM THE MTX STORE.

    A. Completely Flattened into 2D paper fold (Rain Storm Coat, Sports Jacket, Urban Hero Jacket *MTX*, Tree Leaves Ghillie Top).

    B. Shrunken inward as well as collar (Crye Compact Ghillie).

    C. Bunched into a small bulge (Hoodie 1, Bodark Jacket, Arcturus Ghost).

    D. Badly Morphed into itself (Large Rainstorm Coat, Zipped hoodie).

Heres what hoodie slack should look like

My problem isn't that everything is perfect with the hoodie, my problem is that these items were perfectly fine items that were altered last minute due to probably bad management who chose destroy the work, effort and quality to avoid clipping. This is what continuously pisses me off about Ubisoft Paris and Breakpoint it's all great ideas with poor management who does absolutely no to detrimental quality control and strips the the creativity of their design team and developers. I mean have you seen the concept art of Breakpoint for the Wolves? 100x better...

well you wouldn't want them to be inconsistent would you? I mean just look at the whole storyline, does that look like it comes from a company that pays attention to detail?

The link doesn't take me to the concept art for the Wolves, it takes me to the Reddit post about hoods.

This is something that you could work on for hours and still get clipping. I don't really care about this kind of stuff because it takes so much time up and that time could be fixing or adding cool stuff.

now if the body is clipping and you see that so bad then I would find that hard to deal with when playing.

I feel this is something that could be worked out later down the road. when we have more things to do.

    but it's whatever.

    Yep!

Add to the list our braidful supermodel Ash - Auroa’s very own Gisele Bundchen - her skin’s kneepads clip with the pants when she uses a bivouac.

... one more reason to break those R6 skins down into individual parts, and give’em to us as customization options. 😇

Heck you don't have bivouac to get that, just crouch. They can't even get custom models that can't be altered by the user to be clean. This takes dedication.

The reality is that despite people complaining about all the cosmetics, most are so messed up that those of us really into them likely only use a few.

Yikes! That looks rather painful! Poor Gisele Ash...

Good points. Yea I think cosmetic clipping especially when naturally baggy clothes it isn’t too much of an issue for me. I know some people have OCD for the clipping they should of worried about was in the character model animations where arms literally go through knees, bend out of shape. Also the camera glitching through walls or characters floating above the ground. That’s an issue not cosmetic items such as hoodies, scarves, masks and goggles.

My 8yo niece could write a better and more detailed storyline. Heck, even Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, which is made by a small studio, had a much better and more detailed storyline.
