Salvage is so useless it's too easy to get. I think that you should up the price to change looks or you could get 500 steel each time you sell at least 10,000 of it.

It's not really useless since it is required to upgrade equipement and change some gear look from lower rep drop. But you clearly have more than enough of it.

I use it also when I want to speed up the rep grind on new heroes, a ticket cost 9.5k max in a day so it can go pretty fast.

Being able to trade it for steel would be a nice little addition tho but it's anti-economic and I don't think it will happen. Especially at 10 000 for 500 (too high amount of steel, you would unlock everything too fast)
But I don't see any other use for it tbh.

Yeah, Salvage still has very limited use. And will become useless rather quickly.

I'd suggest removing Steel cost from upgrading gear and doubling the Salvage cost and/or replacing gear appearance change cost from Steel to Salvage.
There are plenty of other things we can spend Steel on, so I don't think it would break the economy.

yeah not much things you can use it for i know it, you know it my 15 imaginary friends who are betting on it know it
