Blinding Wyvern for Firewall research stage 5.

    Hi everyone.

We've been trying for a while to get stage five of firewall research done, but no matter how many times we blind Wyvern with our fireflies and then kill her, we do not get the step marked as done. We've tried doing it twice as the task demands, thrice, even five times and then even kill her while she's still blinded, all to no avail.

Is this a bug?, or is there anything else the game is not telling that you need to do?

This is driving us nuts :-(

I have done this twice recently. Once for my agent and a second time with a clan mate. Not sure what the issue may be for you guys. What platform are you playing on (PC, Xbox...)? Is everyone in the group the same level and/or world tier? Have you tried shutting down your machine, unplugging it, and restarting it (clear the cache)? What method have you used for blinding Wyvern? Just throwing out some questions to try and get the ball rolling.

It can be helpful to keep a few enemies alive in case the "complete" status doesn't pop up after Wyvern dies - then the team can wipe and start the Wyvern battle over without having to do Tidal Basin from the begining.

What difficulty are you attempting to do it on? Most, if not all of those kinds of things need to be done on at least Hard, some on Challenging.

Also, from what I remember, you have to do it after she comes down from her stupid immunity platform, during the final stage of that fight, where you would normally just kill her. If you try to blind her before that, it won't count.

    Hi there!

We used fireflies to blind her, ensured she got the eye icon on her every single time. There's two of us in a group, both clan members, both playing on PC and we're running it on normal difficulty wich is what the game's description of the task requires.I think we got promoted to world tier 5 when we started warlords of new york a few months back. As for the encounter itself, we do indeed wait below hitting the launcher's batteries until she drops sayin "it's no longer quick and painless with you" and then start blinding her. We did try yesterday to keep a few adds around while trying so we could restart but killed the last robot by mistake on the third try in a row, after killing her correctly on two attempts and and getting no credit for it :-(.

I would say to try turning it up to hard and see what happens. Because that definitely sounds like it's not working correctly. But AFAIK almost every one of those "difficult" tasks like that usually requires hard or challenging, despite what the description says.

    And it's done!
    Thank you all very much!
We had to go in on hard difficulty, no matter what the mission stated (normal or higher).
    They REALLY should check this.

    Again, thank you!

Glad it worked! yeah, those descriptions of the objectives being poorly worded is the worst.
