I've been keeping up with the Aramusha buff requests for a bit, and also made sure to take that feedback to the team. I don't have any information to share at the moment, but as long as the community continues to ask for a buff, share ideas on what should be buffed, and why, I'll happily relay that info.Originally Posted by kirisu5304 Go to original post
That's great to hear! Could you also look into passing on information to the developers about Lawbringer buffs/rework, please? I saw a couple of them recently here and on the "Suggestions and Feedback" section of the Forum as well. I even made a thread to discuss some possible changes which Lawbringer could receive. It turned out quite well a lot of people shared their ideas which suggests that a big section of the community would like to see him buffed. I think the developers could take the suggestions there into consideration when they decide to work on Lawbringer to make him better.I've been keeping up with the Aramusha buff requests for a bit, and also made sure to take that feedback to the team. Been playing Aramusha for years, feels like the only thing that ever changed on him is he lost options through nerfs.
I don't have a lot of suggestions I can just say what feels lacking when I play him. He struggles to open people up as he has limited options to do so outside the same tools everyone else further by his attacks are pretty slow.
Most of his kit is locked behind his multi block which is a dangerous move you cant rely on too much. Its like where other chars have kicks and dodge attacks and superior blocks he just has the one tool. A brief punishable multi block which can sometimes have limited use and effect depending on the skill and knowledge of your opponent.
He is not without strengths of course, his zone is pretty fast and has a decent mix-up on the second hit due to unblockable. His "deadly feint' mix up can be oppressive for players who don't have knowledge of the character.
This all means he is a specialist though, he has 3 real things to think about. Feint, multi block, zone. Not exactly exciting compared to the many other chars that have a whole bag of mix ups and tools to deal with different characters. To make him good without a rework you'd need to make his special abilities more pronounced...BUT when you do he's frustrating which is why all he's seen is nerfs to his multiblock options and his speed on his heavy punishes. You could speed up his lights to give him a better way to get in...but if he gets in more people who do not know the match up are going to find him annoying. Its because of this I think he honestly needs a rework. Some of his multiblock moves need moved out into his base kit as options to create a more cerebral and exciting character like the kensei for examp, especially considering the decision to make the game more aggressive with offense options vs defensive. BUT i know that is at a fair budget of code, animation, development, testing yadda yadda and of course has a good chance of a divide in the community complaining "you ruined my char". So in short, I dont know the answer cause I dont know what the devs are working with and willing to do. However, this is my feedback and feelings on it. When i play other chars i feel like I'm able to do more and many of the chars i play just feel faster and more responsive. Aramusha feels like a sluggish semi-hard hitter which I'm not even sure fits his fantasy. TBH i only played him all these years cause i thought he looked cool and for no other reason. I'm sure people of different skill levels will feel different but this is my humble viewpoint on him. Hope the feedback is useful.
