    NPC Damage Actually Is Up

    So it is kind of funny since I tend to fall into the category of "git gud" when players vocalize frustration and blame the games balance.

    But the last several days, the way the game plays is fundamentally different. Missions that used to be a walk in the park now require care. It just feels off. I have changed nothing about my build, except to optimize a few pieces. So if anything, I should feel stronger.

    In terms of metrics, end of mission stats now show damage taken up around 100 million for simple missions like bank headquarters.

    So there may be some truth to the complaints presently.

    Over the past week I've been recording a series of videos using Perfect Glass Cannon. I have not noticed any damage increase from NPCs beyond what they normally do.

    Damage scaling in this game is wack. Challenging is pretty easy, until the AI decides to go stupid mode. Then Heroic is you die now!

    Challenging is like almost all red bars with a few purples and even fewer yellows..

    yaawwnnn. I like Div 1s challenging better. All yellow bars.

    Yeah, not really. I mean, sure, NPCs hit hard on heroic, but it is the highest standard difficulty the game offers for all content.

    Here's me playing a bunch of missions on heroic with Perfect Glass Canon. And yeah, I get downed generally once a mission. But that's why I use the revive hive. If I was a group-player, it would basically be EZ mode. It's kinda supposed to not be extra easy.

    I think the difficulty levels don't scale up in set increments IMO. If I were to rate them from 1 - 10 it would be:

    1 = Normal
    2 = Hard
    4 = Challenging
    8 = Heroic
    10 = Legendary

    Hard: 2
    Challenging: 4
    Heroic: 7
    Legendary: 15

    This is from a solo perspective. Groups make everything EZ mode. Would look like this:

    Normal: 1
    Hard: 1
    Challenging: 1
    Heroic: 2
    Legendary: 6

    You would be right as I only play solo, my SHD level is 145 today, and can complete Heroic missions, I don't have much experience with Legendary as I kept getting my butt kicked at the start.

    Scalling in legendary is way off when it comes to three players, two players is a breeze, three players is way off, four players is a breeze.
