    Shotty Sniper

Any advice from console players re this Summit Challenge? I'm not a new player, and can do legendary content, even though I prefer challenging and heroic on a daily basis. But I find this challenge near impossible, on a console. Having to switch to a MMR after killing someone with a shotgun, target a one shot headshot kill in 5 secs... I just can't.

    Or do I just suck.

I'm not on console, but I'll offer the same advice I gave to the last person I saw asking for help with this: popping the tank on red bar/veteran True Sons foam guys roots them in place helplessly for an extreme amount of time. Knowing exactly where an enemy will be, and that they'll be stationary after you get a shotgun kill, should make it quite a bit easier. Other than that, maybe just go crazy with an SVD on a lower difficulty and hope for the best.

Now, I'm not a console player, but I imagine the problem is a combination of your preferred weapons and the spawns of the enemies in the Summit.

If you're too deep into a room, you can get overwhelmed in a blink of an eye, because you'd basically be surrounded by spawn doors, unlike most missions where enemies spawn in front of you. And because you're using an MMR and shotty, those things require some precision that may otherwise be difficult to achieve efficiently and quickly on a controller. Another thing is if you're playing solo, tunnel visioning on one enemy with an MMR or shotty can be dangerous, but it's something you have to do with those weapon types, unfortunately.

Some general advice: unless you have to protect a hostage and the AI isn't being smart, try camping the door or near the door of a new room. It may be boring, but at least you'll be able to anticipate everything coming your way. You can pick things off from a far with your MMR and then switch to the shotty when rushers come at you. Some enemy waves won't spawn until you interact with an objective, so you'll have to be weary of that as well.

This is a good point. Will try that

Yup. Shotgun means you're quite close up. And switching to an MMR then near impossible to aim on console. For me at least.

Tunnel vision is a big problem, especially considering one is a close combat weapon and the other ranged. That's the challenge I guess.

Hard to get kills with the shotgun from distance, by which time NPCs have probably rushed you closer
