I think its a bit of a misconception that the 3/4/5/6 is the minority I know my team are all in that range and all complain about the unfair matchmaking of 4/5/6/7 just chilling in the 6000-7500 for easy wins until the weekend before season reset. With a lot of broken cards released recently its easier for 3/4/5/6 to get to 7000. MJR, DAR, Space Pilot Bradley and Frontier Bradley all could be played at lower levels in Legendary.
Although NK levels may not seem a big deal to you highers up it does mean the lower leveled players have to get 2 or 3 extra hits on your new kid to take a bar which is very hard to do with your higher level cards.
It does seem drop rates for derankers or people playing below level are a lot higher then mine I have seen in other posts people have received two legendaries from recent weekend events I have had 2 Legendaries in 5 months from weekend events with both solo and team portions fully completed. I have had one legendary from a locker in 6 months! Had my first Legendary from a PVP pack in 3 months this week. Even team wars seems to be 1 every 6 to 8 weeks which seems very low to me.
first game of the day, 8.2 level 25 NK sci/fan level 7 warboy astro and level 5 SMW... this needs to stop, its spoiling the game
3rd game an 8.4 with level 5 MBC and mysterion, level 6 hamsters... again? why? get these level 5 legs to where they should be they are stopping me climbing the ladder, with thier lowballing, and i cant earn my packs or do the event myself given I have destroy phones win games and open lockers
4 games now..
2 deranks
1 win
and a draw 0-0
this is a waste of my time, I have made no progress
I take it back, I didn’t mean it!Originally Posted by skidster1 Go to original post
Not a crap ton of upgrades. XP, rather. A LOT of XP, for not as great an improvement to NK health and damage, compared to the greater value down in lower levels. It's a rather mediocre increase, instead. The XP can come from donations, not just upgrades.Originally Posted by cleric_1 Go to original post
And I don't donate "all my cards" either. I gain them faster than I donate them. It just means that the cards I donate more frequently aren't going to be as highly leveled in my own collection, unless I start requesting them. And I don't have a 4/5/6/7 deck. I only have one level 7 common, and not even in either of the themes of my main deck. A legacy from before, in my previous main deck, and before it was replaced with a legendary in that deck. But since my main deck has no commons anyways, you could more accurately call it just 4/5/6/NA. And all my level 4 legendaries and level 5 epics were earned through playing, since I am fully FTP. Nearly 2.5 years of playing.
My deck that has just barely broken 7500 this season is the same one that got me to 8500. The meta shifted enough over time that my deck simply does not get me as high as before. When I first built the deck, I did so because I noticed all my level 4 legendaries were in SF, Mystic, and Neutral, so I built a deck to take advantage of that fact. My deck is definitely not in the meta, so it's not going to climb as easily as a meta deck would.
Also, there has been a downward shift in deck strength compared to SR. It used to be a general accepted rule of thumb that 3/4/5/6 was needed to reach legendary, and 4/5/6/7 was the benchmark for 7000. These days, 3/4/5/6 is high silver, and 4/5/6/7 is often found below 7000. As a result, there are more decks in 7000 - 7500 that would have been 8000+ even a few months ago. Thus, harder to advance to where I once was. It's just the way things go in this game, as things change.
