Thank you.
I land hard on people for things they so wrong, but I always give credit where credit is due and you deserve great credit for what you've achieved.
I've played war games since the very first war games and never have I seen a design team add such exquisite detail in their game. The detail I speak of is show that falls off of cars when you touch them or even shoot near them. Reality. Some car doors ajar and you can even close them. Reality. Footprints in the snow, glowing barrels on belt feds after ripping loose, weather effects that look like weather, character models which have the right proportions (although Division 2 character models are a total embarrassment), comparatively great AI, sounds which enhance emersion, and countless other examples of the little things which deserve the highest praise. There has never been a game that I've played which had all the little things added into it.
As someone who has experienced decades of game designers not making the effort, I greatly appreciate you making the effort. There was even a moment in Division 2 where I was looking across a river at a distant highrise and the lighting and distance detail was so perfect it actually looked real. That is the only time in decades of gaming where what I saw looked 100% real. No one ever gets the proper detail effect of objects at distance right, but you did. That was one of the most special moments in my gaming life, so again I thank you for your extraordinary effort. It is greatly appreciated.
Much love, a fan.
