Has anyone checked if the cost of optimizing gear is fixed (based on attribute, of course) or if it varies depending on the starting point?
For example, I have two identical gear pieces, one is currently at +12% weapon damage, the other is at +8% weapon damage. Will maxing the 8% out to 15% cost "more" than the 12% piece, or does this not matter?
I am asking because the price is so crazy high if it is dependent on starting point it might be "cheaper" to gamble on re-rolling exotic pieces before trying to optimize them.
Any thoughts?
Hmm, good point. Is there an expected timetable for 12.1?Originally Posted by RedSaberSam Go to original post
Awesome - thanks! I really wanted to max out my Scorpio, but I guess I'll hold off a bit...Originally Posted by RedSaberSam Go to original post
A **** ton more - each tier adds 50% more cost than the prior.
Remains to be seen if the adjustment affects scaling or simply addresses Mats [cost, variety or both]. Maybe it will address both, but as noted, I'd wait til next week at this point.
I would re-roll an exotic [if you have close to 20 parts] before wasting Optimization Mats if I was more than one tier away though.
Thanks for the info. I am definitely standing pat for now.Originally Posted by LateNiteDelight Go to original post
