Thanks guys. But for some reason when I tried to install the drivers for my current video card, it said those drivers were older than the ones currently on my Hard drive. Even though The disk I had installed was the original drivers from 5 years ago, and my current video card and it's drivers were purchesed less than two monthes ago.
Thoughts?
On the topic of PC vs Console:
PC's hold the majority of RTS players, so #pc RTS players># of Console RTS players.
Consoles have specialized butten configurations makeing tasks such as pulling out a weapon or meleeing somebody faster and less intrusive on movement. So PC Controls for Shooters is (generally) < Console Controls
However, With RTS Console games the curser is generally center locked on the screen E.G. Halo wars. Which makes controls stiff and clunky. So RTS Commands on PC are (generally, Endwar's one well known exception) easier than Console commands.
Viruses and Hacks litter hundreds of PC servers. Which makes Consoles a safe choice.
Thus, I believe the Consoles and PCs are equal, but are best geared for diffrent Genras. I order all my RTS's for my Computer, and games like Mirrors Edge, Call of Duty, and Gears of War for the Console.
Console=PC
But Console~/~PC ('~'meaning similer)
Just get the graphics drivers for your card from the companys website (e.g. ATI or whatever company your card is made by). If you identify precisly what model of card you have, you will be able to download the specific drivers for that card, however, if your card is over five years old it'll definitely be considered legacy hardware and the drivers will be quite old (newer than the ones on the CD, though).Originally posted by Commander672:

Personally, I just use what ever is the newest drivers my video card manufacture/nvidia has out.
As far as PC vs consoles goes, I have to disagree with the faster button pressing...a mechanical or even just a really good keyboard can easily have better response rates and easier keypress than a 360 button...in my opinion...you also have the Koreans with their 500APM SC skills...
Didn't you say you bought the card 5 years ago? If so; the drivers which came with it can't be upto date. Generally speaking, even if you get a brand new card, the drivers will be out of date by the time you recieve it.Originally posted by Commander672:
No, the Video card I bought along with the new drivers. Acually, The Drivers came with the card. But I digress.
I tried to install the driver, and my windows automaticly updated said drivers for me back to present. (At least I think it did.)
Importantly; you don't buy drivers, they're free! You can download the most upto date ones from the card company's website.
How is right click slower or more intrusive than whatever button you need to push on a controller? First person shooters on console lack precision in all aspects compared to the same game on a PC. Each button being specific to a single purpose is how it should be.Originally posted by Commander672:

Think of trying to land a plane with, instead of 800 controls, just 12 and most inputs have to be done while holding down some other combination in order to do what you want. No thanks!
Eh, no, not the servers, but the PCs that connect to them. Simple enough to prevent on your own computer.Originally posted by Commander672:

You know what I'm talking about, lol
