It would be cool to see a skill that can eliminate airborne threats including stingers from stinger hives, drones, any type of grenade that is in the air.
Not sure what it would look like. Could be a turret variant that targets the above threats instead of players or npcs. It would definitely be fun to use in situations where there are a lot of airborne threats.
I guess every skill tier would add whatever amount of ammo it can hold (1 round would eliminate 1 target) and increase the range it can fire. Overcharge would probably just increase the ammo count and ranger even more. Maybe the starting range could be 15-20m...
Despite my own bias in wanting to see something like this in the Division, this skill would be a great counter to the mortar turret, sticky bomb and maybe even Chem launcher projectiles in PvP.
Perhaps, the cool down will have to be moderate to high so this doesn’t necessarily make a lot of skill builds pointless.
What are your thoughts/ ideas?
Yeah it would operate in a similar way to Jaeger’s active defence system. So, it would be ideal for controlling the area where drone and grenade spam (and maybe stinger hive) - especially in legendaries. This skill would not necessarily trivialise legendary mechanics but make it less of a head for smoother play throughs - perhaps more for players that are wanting to start trying out harder difficulties. It would be a refreshing defence utility skill for players to have fun with.

Would it become a popular skill for legendaries? Probably. Would it become a forced skill? Players have a choice; this is no different to running any healing skill for legendaries (you don’t have to use them). The idea of a trophy system has a larger application than simply being used in legendary content.
