What, so you can just ignore it and do and absolutely nothing tabout it?Originally Posted by Ubi-Lucipus Go to original post
a couple of days ago i matchmaked into a random mission (PVE) and one of the players was constantly firing what seemed to be explosive rounds and he was killing us with a couple of bullets , i simply left after getting downed for the second time and realizing what was going on.
cheating doesnt seem to have any type of barriersl whatsoever in this game , just glad they are few and far between in COOP PVE.
There is, they're just not willing to do it. Serious cheat engines run in Ring 0 or the core of a system's functions, which generic anti-cheat software is not allowed to access to scan. That's why when Valorant's anti-cheat demanded access to it, it was a news worthy incident with some people applauding the serious attempt at anti-cheat and others saying it was too much of an invasion. That aside, game companies like Bungie and Riot also are going after the cheat developers directly, as they typically sell their cheats as a subscription service.Originally Posted by BT3241 Go to original post
Even on their support page, if you trying to submit a ticket under the subject of "player hacking" the submit button will disappear. But if you change the support category to something else, the button will show up again.
So I honestly don't know what UBI does, but it sure feels like the bare-minimum, if not nothing.
yep, i did the exact same thing in TD1. I even served them up a video where the guy was explaining to me what he had the capabilities to do which he would then do in the video after explaining them. Zoom up and down the street, transport across the map to kill others, RPM exploits out the wazoo to go along with a bunch of other crap. I saw him almost daily for months afterwards doing the same things. They did absolutely nothing and that was when i gave up and realized its simply not something they even remotely care about in the game, they just dont care if you cheat.Originally Posted by Solkard Go to original post
Unless you use an in game damage exploit to kill the True Sons. Then you get a week suspension and a 2 week progress roll back. But if you do it in PvP an truly ruin the gaming experience of others, well that's totally okay and something they will completely ignore.Originally Posted by moesuvious Go to original post
Yep, totally backwards. If you use an exploit caused directly because of poor programming you could get a small ban and a rollback but if you use straight cheats its totally fine. Only thing worse than their lack of action is their silence on it, they just brush it aside every single time and just act like its not happening.Originally Posted by chicagolongball Go to original post
I'd agree. The thing that makes people furious about anything is not being heard and feeling like their voice is ignored. Massive have continuously refused to address the issue and explain why nothing is done. Just own up to it. Let us know the anti cheat is garbage and there's no way to fix it at this point, but at LEAST acknowledge that PvP is a disgusting cheat fest filled with the worst type of people possible, and that you'll do something drastic to make sure these trash individuals don't pervade the next iteration.Originally Posted by moesuvious Go to original post
This. Plus, there will be even more people complaining about the impact of effective anti-cheat on performance/stability (see similar complaints about Denuvo DRM) than about the lack of it.Originally Posted by Solkard Go to original post
And this is exactly why they should be more forceful with the cheaters that get turned into them by way of reporting. Ill buy the reasoning yall give but it does nothing to explain why they dont ban the cheaters we turn in to them with more than enough proof. Like i mentioned, i even had the guy explaining the cheats before he demonstrated them and still they did nothing.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original post
