    Download stops at 99%

    Hi - can someone please assist. Been driving me crazy.

    Bought AC Black Flag and whilst it appears fine downloading, it stops at 99% with the following error:

    "Ubisoft Connect is unable to start your download. Please check that you have an active internet connection and sufficient space on your hard drive then try again."

    Scouring the forums, it seems to be a common issue.

    I've tried the following without success:

    - Cancel installation and redownloading
    - Download to a different directory
    - Changing Ubisoft download paths and cache
    - Changing the DNS to google's 8888 8844
    - Uninstalling and reinstall uplay
    - Flushing the DNS and doing the winsock reset and doing PC restart.
    - Temporary turning off windows anti virus
    - Stopping and starting WiFi, shutting down uplay and restarting
    - Tether PC to mobile phone
    - Download via VPN from another country

    So the above tests all failed, still coming up with same error message.

    Anyone got other suggestions that might work?

    I'm sorry you are having this issue. Thanks for trying all of those steps as well!

    Can you confirm if you are trying to install the game on the same drive as your OS? How much space do you have on this drive?

    Also, please try forwarding your ports and performing a clean boot. It may be another program interfering with the installation.

    If the issue persists, we may need to have a look at your system files ot try to determine the cause.
