I hate that plane mission. When game doesn't count my landing as successful, I have to start over, clean whole base again and rescue scientist. And only after that I can try to land this ******* plane again... You know, Breakpoint is complete disappointment: glitchy and frustrating raid, multiplayer full of exploiters and cheaters, short campaign... Not to mention, that I hate time-limited events with time-limited rewards. You know, looks like for me it is time to finally abandon this game. I really tried to love it, but somehow, this mission with plane is finally killed any good feelings I had towards this game.
Was that a necessity? As I didn't do it. I only killed the people on my way to the plane, the guard, one footman on the way, one CO, two heavies and the two guys under the awning next to the plane. Hop in the plane and take off.Originally Posted by Wild-Recon Go to original post
I personally didn't have many troubles with the plane mission.
I must say that to fly the plane i used an xbox gamepad. Having a pad ready for driving vehicles make life really easier.
I had some problems controlling the plane once it touched the ground because unfortunately the controls do not foresee being able to control the rudder separately.
This is a real shame as it would make landing much easier.
I have a glider pilot license so for better or worse the flight dynamics are also applicable for motor aircraft and in fact if in a future update the rudder control was introduced it would be much better.
As for the actual landing try to follow this type of approach:
It makes things a lot easier.
Basically you will need to do the "base" turn when you have the landing strip approximately 45 degrees to the left wing of the plane. The "final" turn instead is the one that will allow you to line up with the runway and set up a controlled descent.
Do not nosedive. Remove some gas to control the descent.
