Amber sky: A thank you letter and live event feedback
First I want to thank the ghost recon breakpoint team for this fun new event!
I had a great time with the tension brought by having to race against the clock to refill my gas filter while trying to complete the objectives.
The new element of danger was a fun experience.
Also a huge thanks to the team for making every raid and ghost war item obtainable through alternate pve means.
This is a massive quality of life improvement and much appreciated!
Now as for feedback on the event.
My only gripe about this event is that the door breaching process is not as well executed as it could have been.
By this I mean while going to breach a metal door with explosives, our options are to use a mine, c4 or grenade.
The mine solution is only really viable when opening the first door from the outside. Otherwise you'll have to be in close proximity and exposed to the blast indoors even if peeking around a corner.
The c4 option is the most seemingly logical way but given the blast radius and capability to damage the player through walls makes it detrimental to do.
Along with having to walk far enough away to not take damage makes it difficult to use fast and aggressive breach and clear tactics when you need to get through the door and shooting bad guys as quickly as possible.
Leaving us with the grenade way of breaching.
It works but feels like the wrong way to go about breaching.
With all that said I'd like to suggest adding new breaching tools for ghost recon breakpoint.
For doors a shaped charge for small controlled explosions would have greatly improved the breach and clear experience.
Adding this would allow players to breach the metal doors without risking injury indoors and in tight quarters and would feel much more immersive.
Another breaching tool that would be great to have added to the game would be a glass cutting tool, as of now most if not all windows are unbreakable in breakpoint.
Having a way to silently get through them would be a great addition.
Now regarding some more quality of life improvements.
The night vision has a blurred view when active, if this could be fixed it would be greatly appreciated.
Further gunsmith improvements for compatibility and personalization.
Adding all scopes and triggers options were logically possible to round out the gunsmith system.
If possible, adding unique weapon variants accessories to all other same weapon models as stand alone options.
An example being, the m4 assault valor buttstock with the straps and pouch accessory be able to be put on all m4's without the forced unique paintjob.
Or the 553 scout sentinel having its unique accessory clipped onto the rail system as a standalone barrel type for all 553's to have.
Weapons selection menu UI, instead of having one long vertical list with no sorting system.
If the existing weapons menu in the objectives board tab could be repurposed and used for the loadout weapons selection system?
It would have all the features that the community would want and would only need minor tweaks as far as sorting goes.
An example being that all 416 variants would be In row lined left to right for as many variations as there are.
Same with all weapons and their variations.
The weapons that are one offs with no variations, examples being the newest weapons added in this update.
Could be put in their own unique subsections for each weapon type at the bottom of each weapon tab section.
Lastly a favorites weapon section at the top would be appreciated.
That about does it for this post.
Don't want to write you a book about all the other addons and suggestions I want to say in one single post.
Thank you again ghost recon team!
