I've lost over 35 pounds during the past 2 years and now I am happy with my weight but not happy with the lose skin. I would like to use Your Shape to tone my body but I'm not sure this is a good source for toning. If this is a good source, how can I make sure that I am doing toning exercises? Also, can you adjust your profile once you have it established?

Hi, I'm not sure you would be happy with this if you really only want to build muscles. I've been using it for 3 weeks almost everyday usually for 45 minutes. I'm not looking to lose weight really just build muscle and tone. Doesn't seem to matter what I choose to focus on, I get almost entirely cardio even when I choose strength. When it does add in my hand weights, I get anywhere from 3 - 8 sets of reps of the exact same exercise and then that it. There is also almost no instructions or reminders to keep you focused on the muscles you are using so it's really easy to cheat yourself, you have to refer to the tutorial and I have yet to watch any that she actually explains what muscles you should be activating. I find I notice the biggest change in my muscles when I use resistance bands so you might want to think about EA Sports Active instead (I haven't tried it yet). Also, there is not a whole lot that goes into your profile, but you can make changes to most of it. I'm sticking it out a little longer, but if it doesn't get any better, I'll go back to my DVD's for muscles. I do get a pretty good cardio workout with this though.

I'm getting just as good a workout with Your Shape as I was with a personal trainer, and I paid a lot more for the trainer! I've been using Your Shape for about 3 weeks, I'll see if my measurements are different at the end of January, but I definitely feel better.
I rarely get a purely cardio workout. I use hand weights and the stability ball in every session. But even if the exercise doesn't say to use hand weights, bicep curl without weights, I use weights anyways because I know that's what I can do.
Of course, it's not the same as a person correcting you, but you get what you pay for. No "game" is going to replace an actual person standing next to you.
