I think these two variants should exist. A Berserker is fine, he beats gbs with his dodge attacks, but takes a heavy if he is parried. A Peacekeeper is only risking a heavy parry, but her version doesn't beat gbs (and it is also terrible in other ways like the recovery and the fact it doesn't chain). No hero should get both of these advantages on the dodge attack. Shaman, Kensei and Gryphon does.Originally Posted by Csodaszarvas_G Go to original post
Zhanhu, on the other hand, gets light parried, but doesn't beat gbs either. Okay, it is a 50/50 with the two sides, but still quite lame.
Oh look random youtube garbage that doesnt really proof anything and will not be viewed as proof by someone with at least half a brain and some game knowledge...Originally Posted by Rose_daimyo Go to original post
You can't light spam him. He can just do dodge attack.
I said this before and I say it again. I believe kensei and gryphon dodge attacks are way to safe.
It should be made light parrys, that will effectively stop them from spamming it because you only get a light on that parry and then they back to their dodge tricks. Currently there dodge attacks are low risk high reward.
Because of how safe their moves are you have to wait to see if they are going to do it, you dont even need to wait for an option select like against most other heroes.
I play with gryphon and his a crutch charactor, I am not good at for honor, I like playing the game but even I must admit that being good with gryphon requires no skill.
I see people comparing his mixup to BP - you know light bash - light undodgable.
In gryphons case, not dodging could been you take the kick and dodging also has the potential to lead to a heavy if you are not playing with a hero like peacekeeper or gryphon himself.
I don't think he's broken, just easily abusable. The double light combo into a kick and a free top heavy does 48 damage, which is why people abuse it because the kick can be difficult to time correctly and because it cleaves off a big chunk of health. If you mess up the didge or you get hit then you are immediately at a disadvantage. His running attack is a cheaper version of law bringers as it gives you two free lights and puts them on the ground. His side dodge attack comes out fast, which IMO looks really stupid and anime for a guy his size and a weapon that big. Everything else is ok move set wise IMO.
I will note that if you play on PC, you will have far fewer issues with Gryphon. If you however play on the inferior console game FauxHonor where the devs locked it to 30fps then tough luck. Just try to get the timing down and learn how to read your, opponent more because FauxHonor is more of a guessing game than it ever was.
That is UBISOFT signature.Originally Posted by p1r8r4z0r Go to original post
You can totally dodge-gb the kick. With 100% consistency. I do not claim he is not too strong because of his feats and safe dodge attacks, but the guardbreak is completely fine. Also, hyperarmor is not particularly effective against him, he hits very hard and has bashes. What maked an excellent match is having a hero who can punish his dodge attacks severly. Like a Black Prior.Originally Posted by robbie25hd Go to original post
