    Game audio cuts out, then the game crashes and forces a reset....

    Ive included posts Ive made in previous forums about this issue for Ubisoft to look over:

    I have tried the advised troubleshooting method and have had no resolve to the problem I am facing. After the update a week or so after the new season launch at random points throughout a game (this doesnt happen every game) the game audio cuts out but still allows you to run around and place gadgets etc but about 20 seconds later the game completely freezes and forces you to reset. This is ruining my experience playing ranked on Siege and has given me abandon sanctions and lost MMR that I didnt deserve. Please Ubi fix this issue as its making the game unplayable for myself and other players.

    This audio glitch followed by the game crashing has recently started happening to me again after the Halloween update was released on Xbox One and needs to be fixed again and permanently this time. It was fixed for a brief amount of time but ever since the Halloween update got released recently it has been happening to me again and ruins my experience playing the game. Please Ubi look into this glitch and fix it as its ruining the game for me and the other people who are experiencing it.

    The issue I am having after the most recent update is identical to the issue that was previously resolved for a short period of time before returning now. The game audio cuts out when there are a lot of things going on and making in-game noise all at the same time; this happens for about 20-30 seconds during which you can still run around and play as normal but with no audio for that 20-30 seconds before the game freezes and forces you to reset your game.

    Could it be possible that the fix update for Xbox that was out a few weeks ago hasnt been included in this most recent Halloween update? And that is why the issue is happening again?

    Ill set the scene.... ranked on coastline, the game is 4-4 and we go defence in kitchen... the round starts and I move forward to go and reinforce, vigil throws an impact grenade to make a rotation and then boom! My game audio cuts out and after 20 seconds of me moving around and finishing reinforcing/putting my gadgets down I freeze and am forced to reset my game. Then I load my game back up to be welcomed by an abandon sanction message and have to wait half an hour to join my squad back and play. Please Ubi can you fix this it once and for all, as your game in this current state with this audio bug is unplayable for me.

    I have had the game installed on both my internal and the external hard drive and have experienced the problem on both but all my other games run smoothly and with no issues. I have also played on a different Xbox Console and experienced the same issue.

    I was last affected by this issue on Saturday November 7th 2020.

    My game can have the audio cut out and crash at random unpredictable times throughout a game of Rainbow Six Siege; it mostly cuts out and crashes however after a sequence of loud audio noises happen all at once in game e.g. multiple walls being reinforced at the same time as someone making a rotation on another wall with an impact grenade. This needs to be looked into in more depth by Ubisoft and fixed ASAP as its making the game unplayable for me and other players.

    This issue still persists to happen to me on Rainbow, it is even happening to me now in the droning faze where the enemy team are making rotations with a shotgun and my audio will just cut out while on the drone and when it spawns me in for the round a few seconds later my game will be frozen and forces me to reset. This issue needs to be looked into properly by Ubisoft and fixed once and for all as its happening to me every game now and even multiple times in a single game and makes Rainbow Six Siege unplayable and not enjoyable at all.

I'm extremely sorry to hear that this issue has been plaguing you in-game for so long! I can whole-heartedly understand your frustration and disappointment. Moving forward, do you have a digital or physical copy of the game? Have you been able to capture video of this occurring? I would be more than happy to report it to the relevant team for you!

    Hi thanks for getting back to me,

    I have a digital copy of the game saved to an external HDD that runs all other games I own perfectly and that used to be the case for siege until this audio bug started happening to me. I have tried installing and moving the game to the internal HDD of my console as well as extra external HDDs that I own and I still have the same audio bug happen to me. I have also tried playing on a friends console and factory reset my own console and the issue still persists on both. If you could report this to the relevant team it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    This is not my own recorded clip; I will try and get one recorded ASAP. However it is identical to the audio bug I am getting and was posted by another person with the same issue as me in another forum.

    Same issue

    This issue is very frustrating issue, I load up my game and play a game every game I play about 4 rounds in my audio cuts out for about 30secs after that my game freezes and forces me to leave this is very annoying especially when Im trying to level up to play ranked. This is only happening to me. Ive done all the ways to fix it but none have worked please try get this fixed ASAP

    Hello,

    Thank you first of all for informing us that the development team is looking into this issue. However, I am not a developer but surely it doesn't take nearly 3 months to resolve the issue. (Let us not forget it has been happening for over 1 year now).

    As stated above this happens also to me, unlike @Geekzs I do not get it every game however it will happen if there is a loud noise like an impact grenade or event a shotgun/ace charge. You will lose game audio and then freeze, For me, this only happens when I load the game and my account cannot connect to the servers instantly. Like I stated above I am not a developer however this could be something to do with a corrupt sound file causing it.

    Really annoying bug

    This problem happens every time I try to play this game, im able to play the first minute or two if I'm lucky and then the game volume dissipares and my game freezes forcing me to quit. Sometimes when i load the game backup i rejoin the match and it will happen again in 30 seconds forcing me to quit again. It really sucks when you lose because you don't have a chance to even play or help your teammates. Its become such an inconvenience that I really don't want to even attempt to play the game anymore. It has completely ruined the game and the good times I used to have playing it.

    Started happening to me after the update for the Apocalypse Event

    Hello! I've never had this issue before, and about a week ago the Apocalypse Event went live. Since then my game started losing audio randomly, and after about 30 seconds my game will freeze completely and stay frozen until I quit the game and restart. It does this to me maybe twice a day, and I play about 4-6 hours a day. I don't think loud noises cause it, I have a theory that it might be a voice line that triggers it. It usually happens about 30 seconds after prep phase ends, and usually when I'm defending (which sucks because I love defending). I do also have a clip of it happening during a ranked game if you would like the clip, just let me know how to send it.

    I play on Xbox, and this has happened to me on the Apocalypse mode most often, ranked twice, and casual a handful of times.
