Yes, the main target would receive the current dot damage (all of them with tier 4, but they would not stack, so it would not instakill teams from full, and I think with this nerf the other two T4 would be an interesting choice to consider). It is objectively weaker that way, but then it is a valid point to think through if you are going to advance on the Warmonger and have the main target tank the damage, or you let the corrupted target alone for potentially more damage.
Subjectively, it will be actually stronger in avarage matchmaking. I think people mainly avoid the dot because they don't want to die, but I strongly doubt they would care about their team mate enough to abandon a potential
opportunity to needlessly feed revenge killing blow. I have seen many times people ignoring their 1hp team mate and just running through them, so enforcing this behaviour for the usual players would compensate WM appropriately. For Ranked, it would not be a ROLL OR DIE situation, it would be a strategic choice to decide if you wait for the dot to be cleaned, or don't waste time and accept the damage.
Abu: So...
1. I pick Warmonger with autorevive, the other team mate does the same. We infect two people, then we will switch target and chase them down until everyone dies. We get up at the end (or don't even die since we are healed by our own corruption).
2. Me and my team mate pick Warmonger, one of use picks Autorevive, the other picks Corruption Blast. We run into the crowd, the Corruption Blast infects everyone. I chase them down to kill them, if I die, I get up and continue.
3. I pick Black Prior with the area shield, and chase everyone while protecting myself from the damage. They die.
4. Warmonger+Lawbringer's impale into Longarm/Raider's stampade charge.
5. Last Laugh (I won't even go into details here).
6. Corruption, chased by a Gryphon who outheals your hp.
7. If the corruption would actually infect the team mate, I won't even go into the things that would do. Again, Last Laugh.
