Hey PaleBloodSeeker, thanks for getting in touch, welcome to forums and I am sorry to hear about the issue you ran into.
Just to double-check, have you had a chance to complete steps outlined in the following article yet? If you haven't, make sure you give these a go.
To add, we are aware that some AMD CPU's have been encountering FPS or freezing issues with the game, this is a known issue with these processors when they reach a certain temperature.
We are working on this to see what can be done from our side but in the mean time you could try reaching out to AMD support for assistance with adjusting your settings to get the best performance without overheating.
I have the same.
error message: .... "my graphics driver timed out ....", sending option report to Ubisoft
Specifications: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, 64-bit Windows 10 Pro 20H2, Radeon RX 580 8GB, SSD
Driver AMD: 21.3.2.
Other games and software: Works fine
Solution.
Step 1. DDU uninstall the AMD drivers
Step 2. Installing drivers AMD 19.8.2 Adrenalin 2019
Step 3. Possibly: check if Directx is correct - install DirectX End-User Runtime, it may display a message that it is installed, it's ok
or start the installation - it will renew the drivers.
Comment:
1. Drivers 19.8.2 is recommended by Ubisoft for Assasins Creed Origins
2. FPS drop by 5-10 (average)
Hey Mirocho
thanks for this tip, have been having problems with the game for a whole week, one crasch after another. it started right after installing the game. I had already tried everything and was just planning to uninstall it. Until all of a sudden I saw your post i also have a Rx 580 asus rog strix 8gb oc so i uninstalled my current driver and installed the 19.8.2 now i have been playing for 7 hours, graphics on high and everything works fine
Thanks a lot man 😃
ps if you ever come to belgium i will treat you to a lot of beer
This is for ubisoft
I am very disappointed in ubisoft support there are so many customers having problems with this game crashing even though it has been out for a few years and still they have not got this game in order and if you ask for help from ubisoft you get Please try verifying files and seeing if that helps (Steam, Uplay). If that doesn't help, please try these steps and see if they help. If that doesn't help, please create a ticket with MSINFO and DXDIAG files. Thanks! " or you will not receive a response I would think such a global company full of computer specialists should be able to solve such problems easily and happily for many millions of paying customers, but apparently I am thinking wrong
I appreciate that this issue did happen to you, however the steps we provide are known to resolve the majority of random crash/freezes.Originally Posted by DDs-Gamerjefke Go to original post
However, I know that our guides don't cover absolutely everything and there are issues like this one that can be resolved with workarounds. That's why these forums exist, so the community as well us ourselves can try to help!
So, I know you'll see a lot of similar posts from myself or other staff regarding our PC troubleshooting guide, system files etc but I assure you it's done for a reason.
I'm really glad you're able to play now, and hope you continue to enjoy the game.![]()
