Right so I'd like to say that this is constructive criticism mainly and I'm not trying to take a shot at the game makers here.
I truly adore AC Valhalla and the franchise in general the whole concept of being to visit your ancestors lives is brilliant, along with the age old struggle between assassin's and templars.
The way that you have gone about progressing the franchisee has gone off track quite a bit, I personally would love to see it go back to trying to fight against the templars in a non magical battle (not everyone and their Grandma needs a piece of Eden). By all means keep the precursors and the Eden pieces in the game but it does not need to come down to either side fighting to control it, you could push it toward a fight to free the people of a tyrannical leader within that time period or racing to find an ancient tome of knowledge that would help the creed/order.
I'm not a storyteller but you get the idea.
Also with the fairly new addition of choosing your gender of assassin, if you want to do a game with a female lead do it and vice versa, but please work on their character to make them interesting or relatable in some way, not to base any shortcomings upon previous games but characters like Edward, Ezio, the Frye twins they were all motivated by their own beliefs as well as what they learned from the assassin's they were with I'd really like to see a well thought out character that you have to follow not one that you need to choose.
When I started playing odyssey I thought it was great but after the first big boss(I forget his name) Cyclops?? . The game losses all emotion from the characters, Kassandra/Deimos have conversations through the rest of the game as if they're un-interested in what's going on where the voices are the opposite. I've found this to be happening in Valhalla too, it seems like you tried to fix it but the characters haven't quite crossed the threshold where they are showing actual emotion in the dialogues, I'd like to feel like some of the scenes are movie standard (I know this is a lot more work on the animators part but it would be worth it) where the character is waving their arm with anger and you can see it in their face too or standing in utter disbelief from what they've been told(again an expression on their face ) you get the idea.
If any of the leads on this franchise see this, I suppose what in asking for is a bit more inspiration from the first game but pre odyssey, more emotion and character development and a little less Eden magic.
Ooh ooh and if you can commit to doing a decent bit of story with current day character Layla that would be cool to.
Thank you for listening.
I look forward to the next game which is holiday release 2021 (bit soon I think) good luck
