Even if the game does reflect current events, it's probably not the best place to be discussing them. Plus, there are certain folks (myself included) that play games to get away from the ******** in the outside world for a moment or two.

Threads locked I'm refering to doesn't have any kind of political discussion, just reflecting on how close it is to the world we are living in right now. I hear what you're saying though.

Directly or indirectly referring to the Capitol situation, it's inferred heavily either way as a political discussion. I've seen a few of said threads, and am glad they weren't allowed because it's a slippery slope.

No doubt it's a somewhat frightening situation (not from the US but am not happy about what's going on over there) though it could easily get out of control if we're going to start discussing everything TD2 has predicted correctly.

Fair enough. Wish mods were as well spoken when given reasons for closing threads.

IMO, politics, social justice, and religion have no place in public forums that have nothing to do with those topics. It would turn into a war of words in minutes and become chaos. It's best to shut those down I'd say, even though I am strongly against censorship in most cases.

Now the "naming and shaming" thing, I do think if a person has video, he should be allowed to post and get community feedback on those things.

To answer your first question, it is all in the forum rules.

    More specifically:
Please make sure your post is going in the correct forum. We have specific forums for each game, some of them with their own Off Topic area or Community Help section. Threads that are off topic, or become so, may be moved or locked.
