Can't open ac bc pc doesn't find the steam_api.dll file

Hi! After downloading ac origins I pressed play but it says ''The code execution cannot proceed because steam_api.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.'' So I did. I downloaded the file and put it in my "system32" and "SysWOW64" folders following instructions found on the web but I still get the same message. I also tried with steam_apii 32 bit and steam api 64 bit but nothing happened. I'm not really good with computers and what I found on the web didn't work, so I would really appreciate some help if someone knows something about this, thank you

Hello there Maumaup28! Welcome to the forums

I'm sorry to hear this. If you haven't already, I would recommend starting with the steps on the PC troubleshooting article.

I would also suggest reinstalling your supporting software. It may also be worthwhile to try an SFC scan, as this can detect any missing or corrupted files on your system and repair these.

When trying to launch the game again, please can you launch it with admin rights? If the issue still persists after trying these steps, please don't hesitate to update this thread. Thanks!
