Non-Techie Needs Help with Upgrading PC

    Hey everyone,

I received Odyssey as a Christmas present from a friend who is familiar with my love of ancient Greece.

Unfortunately, I think she overestimated the strength of my PC. The game is tantalizing (especially the tour) but it's running super slow.

Below are the specs of my PC. If anyone can recommend a new graphics card or other adjustments so that I can enjoy this great gift, I'd appreciate it.

    CPU:

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz
    GPU:

    Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630
    GPU Driver Version:

    26.20.100.7263
    RAM:

    16190 MB
    VRAM:

    8223 MB
    VRAM Used:

    1939 MB

I'm willing to spend some money to upgrade, but I am a computer novice and would love some expert advice.

    Thanks,

    Hubal

Put a RX 5600XT or a GTX 1660 Ti or Super in there and you should get good performance at 1080p ...... Your CPU is 6 cores and 12 threads and is just fine ..... If money is tight you could probably get by with a GTX 1650 Ti

The larger problem right now is everything is selling at Scalper Prices because no one seems to have any Ethics anymore ....... Everything is selling at nearly twice the real price ...... You may have to wait a couple of months for the markets to shake out and supply gets back to normal .....
