Here's the scenario:
1) We bought the kids a Nintendo Switch for Christmas (It's our primary and ONLY console)
2) We have a family group on the Switch, with my account as the Parent/Administrator account, and each of my 2 children have separate Switch accounts (for saved games, stats, etc....)
3) We purchased JDU 2021 from the eShop using my account (Parent)
4) We purchased the 1 year unlimited pass from the eShop at the same time (Purchased under my eShop account).
5) Kids start the game as one of their accounts and tries to play using a song that is marked as "Unlimited" and can't--they get nagged to purchase a subscription. However, they immediately receive the special avatars because of having the subscription....
6) Unlimited pass works perfectly when game is launched using MY account (which is NOT what we intended)
Is by design? Is the unlimited pass able to be used for ALL the family accounts on the system (me, wife, 2 kids)? If this is by design, this is a really crap setup and defeats the purpose of having the family group (and seems like a greedy money grab). We have no issues with this on our Apple devices.....just saying.
I have exactly the same query. I bought the switch console for Christmas, everyone in the household has a profile on the switch (for saved games, playlists, rewards etc), but the unlimited tracks can only been played when I’m logged in. My account is the primary (and registered with Ubisoft). We also have a Nintendo online family 12 month subscription.
Exactly the same issue. I honestly don’t know what to do now. I set up a Ubisoft account for myself, but now I’m realising that 30 day trial account would probably be better placed on my daughters switch profiles. I didn’t realise this would be so difficult - I assumed Ubisoft would have an unlimited package for the entire family group on my switch device.
Hello,
If you are having issues accessing Just Dance Unlimited, Please be sure to link your Ubisoft and Switch accounts (As Shown Here) and set your Switch as the primary console As Shown Here
Please reach out to our Support Team if you are still having issues after trying the above steps.
Wow, I'm really glad I saw this. I've been champing at the bit waiting until JD22 comes out next month, before I renew my JDU subscription. Now that I know that won't make it available to other family accounts on the console, I save myself the frustration and disappointment of falling into your disgusting bait-and-switch!
So now not only will I not be renewing my JDU subscription -- I won't be buying JD22 either.
I am honestly revolted by your greedy money grab, Ubisoft.
Welcome to the forums iacvlvs, I'm sorry to hear that the Unlimited Pass situation has put you off Just Dance 2022.Originally Posted by iacvlvs Go to original post
