    Idea's for Skull and Bones.

There should be a strong zone like a stronghold type system where you and a fleet of either 3-5 join together and do this stronghold sink medium to hard tier fleets of ships then when you progress in that stronghold you fight a boss Ship like a Strong ship like and example The queen Annes revenge Black beards ship( I understand that he's a pirate and we're also Pirates but pirates always fight if the treasure is rich enough). If you kill the boss ships your group gets good rewards like a legendary or idk what tiers they're going to have for there gear in that game yet but varies between the top 3 rarity split among the group. Then if you remember Black Flag and if you remember how you can kill NPC forts have some forts on the map for "guilds" or whatever they're going to call it they take them by fighting the NPC (Since no one owns it when the game first launches} at first but as a pvp content other "guilds" can come and attack you and try and take your land so instead of just upgrading your ship you have to upgrade your fort your "guild" has to come together and upgrade your fort maybe by materials you get through out the world or maybe these Strongholds i mentioned earlier drops gear for forts as well.

Also for strongholds you can either do the solo or in a fleet but always doing things in a fleet will benefit everyone in my theory fleeting will give more loot per stronghold compare to soloing where you will get one pieces of loot in a fleet you get one per person and if someone doesn't need this one item then they trade it to there friend in the group or if someone else needs it.

I know that Skull and Bones devs are liking how Fortnite is going with there Live Events but I hope thats the only thing they're copying because I do not want to see this game going into a BR style of game or just a COD style of play where you pick your load out and go in, thoughs games get boring after awhile for most people I know its my opinion but I wanna see this game be a good MMO there are not a lot of good pirate games. The last good pirate game i actually played was Black Flag where this game is coming from and with what Black Flag had can make this game a good MMO take away the player about to jump across buildings like a Ninja add more to do then just sail around and collecting look and you will have a solid MMO.

If im correct they announced we're only playing as three ships Schooner (longe range mortar}, Brig (Has a ram and can dish out damage from medium range) and a Frigate (Basically the Broadside tank style) I know taking ideas from other games people dont like that but if you think of destiny maybe go that way where there classes are basically the same as Skull and Bones 3 ships/classes you have your glass cannon long range damage dealer your supportive damage dealer and your tank damage dealer on the gear you get you get item levels you progress your item levels by doing fleets, pvp, and maybe crafting remember how black flag had underwater look where they give you plans to upgrade some ship skills maybe the underwater sunken ships gives you blue prints to craft a legendary a mythical or rare so on and so for.

    Just an idea

Fighting mechanics would be a nice addition to this game. Games like Ark and SoT, while both are fun and amazing, the area where they fall short is combat. If you take time away from the game (for whatever reason) you come back just to be discouraged by the competition. To equalize the competition a fighting mechanic like For Honor as an example would be great, it's intuitive and reliable. It's any easy way to combat experienced as well as novice players, it's also rewarding when you're victorious.

There Should be crossplatform between PC and consoles

If this game is going to be focused around teamwork than adding crossplay would be a better way to join friends and would be a first for a Ubisoft game, I think.

i looked at EA 2017 + 2018 footage, they mention massive bosses like kraken where you have to fight together to take down, give legendary gear. So if they have that, and had forts in Black flag. I am certain you can expect dreadnaught, floating fortresses, massive bosses.
