Ive tried to go into this before but it turned out to be far to long of a thread and nobody wanted to read it... I Found Somebody who has same Ideas as I do and is a Youtuber Here...

I 100% Agree with everything this guy has to say 100... But I think that the queues should be based on Dom and Breach 4v4 more than 40 man battle grounds atm.... I Also have a phew Suggestions of my own for balancing... I might sound like a broken record to some but I think this is the best time to bring it up again...
If Larger Droppable combos were added by making more attacks offensive and defencesive In all the heroes movesets for stringing large combos together through bashes kicks and 50\50 option selects making combos only excapable by parry or siad person messing up inputs dropping the combo... Also health pools to match up with siad combos. I think this would add a more skill based style of combat for all heroes.
Another thing that could be added is a taunt for more tanky and shield bearing heroes that pulls 100% threat from otherr locked on characters fighting... Weather it be a shout or a direct Line of sight Taunt ability. It would be great for pvp and pve like Breach Commanders.
I really love the fighting system of For Honor, which is skill based. I also really like MMOs, and for example a Star Wars game would be amazing with this system. How cool could it be to design your own unique hero (like filling up slots, purchasing unblockable, hyperarmor, 3 parts chains, bashes, upgrading a dodge attack, etc). I would definetely love to play an MMO, especially if they get the same good story telling as SWTOR (whoever was writing For Honor's campaign needs a bit more time in screenwriting).
However, this franchise will not be made an MMO, because of two reasons.
1. Technical issues. They couldn't even make game modes with more than 8 people in it. An MMO needs servers a hundred times stronger, and they have to deal with many issues, like kicking everyone instantly who has a certain lag.
2. Money. This is a small franchise, basically no story (well, we have it, but it was so ignored that my female Warden was addressed as "him" during it, they did not even correct mistakes like this), and let's just say controversial popularity. It was ridden with bugs, balance is a mess, and it is built on a small passionate community. They would need a ton of trust from a big corporation, something that at the very least has questionable success chance. Even I understand how bad it would be as an investment, someone who actually has that money knows it far better than me.
We can hope that the fighting system will be reused in better games, because that alone keeps this mess popular for a small group. We can also discuss how could it would be to have great battles, 100v100 castle sieges, guild wars, chilling in the tavern with your comrades, etc. But it will never happen like this. I am not even sure that the current technology would be up to this task, but even if it is, I am sure FH's developer team will never get this investment.
You cant be serious the servers will cost more? The people on the fh servers are already there in the server turn based memory all they need to do is create a world to indulge these players made characters... But yes it would come at an expense to make the game like every other... I know a thing or two about coding bugs glitches come with every game something maintainance already takes care of.. I dont understand what you meen by this the platforms they run the game on are already region locked they would need to create the game and just seperate players into the lobbies by the thousand or whatever number they chose.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
But if they did all this I would happily Pay a $20.00 a month Subscription fee to play it... I am Quite sure theyd profit by the millions... Its not like it would be Ubisoft 1st MMO and to be frank I think it would be way more succesfull. Seeing how millions of Warcraft players are looking for a fresh Crusader Fix and a wow break... I also think some play the current fh. It would go Viral b4 it hit shelves if done right. No doubt in my mind.
I also have never seen any game match up to Blizzards Wow but seeing how Ubi has the guts to enter the MMo genre and be such big franchise also have such a good game like For Honor with so Fricken Much POTENTIAL FR!!! I have no clue why more people dont look at this whole thing the same way as i do....I think it can be done tbh Im on the side that hopes to see Ubisoft Slam this whole thing outta the park.
I totally support a for honor like MMO, and I totally think For Honor itself could work as an MMO.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
The problem is Ubisoft.
For Honor will never be a good MMO under Ubisoft. They either need to sell For Honor to a better company, or a better company needs to create a for honor like experience from the ground up while avoiding patents.
Ubisoft being such a huge company, I imagine they patented a lot of the combat system techniques and so it would be incredibly difficult for another company to recreate. The best bet would be Ubi selling their rights to the franchise which is unlikely.
Ultimately, we probably won't see a for honor like MMO for a few years at least, if ever.
Well if there is even a stitch of a possibility for this happen.. I really do hope they try making it to the best standards as posssible even if they were to make a phew more For Honor Titles in its series to tweak perfect and balance all the fighting mechanics, heroes, and Move sets before hand or maybe even waiting for the best time for new tech to make a open world that can actually run on ultra 4k display with thousands of players thats more fit for running an Expansion based MMO Title That Lasts for decades to come... This stuff does exist but Microsoft just hasnt implimented it for Xbox Devs at the highest level... It is possible as of right now but in no meens would it run like a fully based PC platform as far as Servers go for all do respect for Goats post... Yes it would Lag if they went with ultra 4k which I dont see as an option anymore but in No meens is that Ubi's fault... They can only work with what Paramiters were set by Microsoft which is why I personallly think games havnt been so good in the last decade is cuz everyone wants the best graphics which makes devs cut back on expanding games multiplayer features and mechanics in alot of areas like disc memory and server sizes and just time of digitally formatting textures over and over when they could be improving other stuff.Originally Posted by MrBdur Go to original post
In all Hopes Next time a new resolution Format Drops from Microsoft Ubisoft should take Advantage of it improving on adding more movesets for all heroes instead of puttting money into Microsofts pocket by using their time and disc space or update cloud memory for new graphics Because this was never a problem I dont think. This is how you get ahead by making your own path to break away from the herd and set new standards... I think.
