After spending a good deal of money on this game to have some fun, support South Park (lifetime fan of all things Matt Stone and Trey Parker) I have come to the realization that UBI, much like they did with their console games, are in it for the money and not the ‘tegrity’. At some point, hopefully Matt and Trey take their franchise to another developer because tonight alone, I lost close to 100 and some odd ranks. I could not compete at all, even as a level 19 with level 5 cards.
The game would put me against level 24 players or level 17. Let it be known that many level 17 players are derankers and they have level 6 and 7 cards but also, an endless fountain of regen. While you are sitting there with not a single bar to cast a player out to compete, they already have 5 of their high level cards out there at one shot.
So tonight, here is what I seen…and this is just one night mind you.
I tried to play the “event” with the character cards to complete the event but no…..every person I played did not have even ONE of the event player cards in their deck. So, here I was, literally being owned by the usual BS of Call girl and Ivy Randy, with Pope Timmy and the Gremlin Ikes. The problem come into play where I had 4 players out on the field and somehow, just Ivy Randy took all four out, marched right up to my new guy and took me out. Another time, Program Stan did his freeze protocol and froze the entire playing field but not once in a few seconds, but three times in a row.
Not completely disheartened, I kept playing. It seemed no matter what I had chosen, level 5s against their level 2 or 3, I could not compete. One shot kills and their regen without any delay was frustrating. I watched what was a pretty respectful rank on my part, dwindle away, match after match. I could have 20 players on the field and all they would need is one of theirs, and they would win.
I thought for sure, using Dougie would straighten things out. He is a high level 5 and is quick with his power fist but somehow, just one attack from an Ike Gremlin put him down. I used BIg Gay al trying to do what others were doing which was Big Gay Al going up almost to half court, then peppering the enemy from afar. For whatever reason, my character would almost walk right up to the enemy and start throwing after a massive delay, then get taken out in one or two shots. A level 5 Big Gay Al being decimated by a level one character is one thing, but to watch characters who have such high defense and attack being wiped off the map in just a couple hits is another.
What I have come to conclusion is that the game is garbage. A money taking piece of **** that has no actual correspondence to skill or card rank or strategy against the multitudes of cheaters or players with thousands of dollars at their disposal. The fact one cannot rank up against similar players is hilarious. The amount of level 24 players that I played was astronomical and the amount of people that I played who were supposed lower levels then me populated constantly in my competition realm. A “level 17” with level 5 or 6 cards maxed out and a few level 7 legendaries trashing me in just three or four moves is a constant. I even played a level 14 who, with his/her level 2 and 3 characters, beat the hell out of my level 5 Classy and level 5 Nimsy with little effort. Of course, while I sat there waiting for a regen, they had repopulated the entire field with every card they had in the deck and within 3 attacks, I was gone.
So what is the final appraisal of this train wreck? Don’t spend a dime on this game like I did. Do not even install it a this point. I really loved the concept and wanted it to be an actual game of strategy like a chess game where you could use any character or any move set to possibly win but that is not the case. You have to use the same ol set of cards game in and game out. You have to have them at level 5 or 6 to be competitive and even then, when you run across cheaters, it doesn’t matter what level you are. You will lose.
Here is the secret of the game. Simply own most of the super hero’s card set, max them out and work on having or acquiring Pope Timmy from the spiritual deck along with possibly Jesus and Hallelujah. Don’t bother working on any other set to be honest. Its a waste of money compared to the super hero’s. I made the mistake of leveling up Sci-Fi which is the most worthless deck right along side adventurer. I watched every level 5 card I owned get totally smacked around by level one and two super hero cards. Of course, another popular card would be **** Magic Randy or Sexy Nun Randy, Those are two other used and abused cards that no matter what you do, they somehow destroy all of your high level cards easily.
What’s the point?
There is no point. You win **** cards after playing multiple matches. If you spend $50.00 on a card set, you wind up with commons and rares with maybe…just maybe, a copy of the one Epic you already own. Buy a legendary card? Same result. Same card as what you already have in the deck. I still have multiple cards that I am missing in my deck with no hope of ever acquiring them because of all the cheating and derankers that are ruining ranking up against equal or similar players. I was inches away from legendary rank and then ran into multitudes of cheating and deranking so, I uninstalled it.
The fact that I spent money on it, to the level I did, is embarrassing and I truly am ashamed I allowed a game that is so rampant with cheating to make me think or believe that maybe..just maybe, this time around I can get some stats or a card that can change it all around but after tonight, I realized that is not the case.
A card set that I had played tonight was far superior each and every time. The strategy was there every time but what can you do when their level 2 player wipes out your entire 4 set of players and leaves you regenerating for what seems forever even at 3.3 energy use, while they have the field completely populated with high levels pounding the hell out of your “new guy”.
This is a suckers game. A game where some claim they have not spent any money on it and yet have high level cards and mountains of wins. There are some who call you a whiner when you complain of the cheating and their are some who call you unskilled when you have been literally owned by cheaters or derankers.
Do yourself a favor and simply do not install it based off your love of the South Park franchise or Matt and Trey projects. I honestly do not think they even know how bad this game is broken and screwing people over and if they do, then they are the biggest hypocrites in the industry. (How many episodes of South Park deal with App games?)
At any rate, after uninstalling this game and now posting this, I hope to have helped somebody make that decision on their own to hang it up and not give it another thought. The developers obviously do not care because it is so simple to block network cheating and deranking but they don’t bother because the money is rolling in faster for a broken game then it would if it were actually fixed and functioning properly. The developers have allowed numerous conversations about cheating to transpire and break up teams and team players because of inner arguments that take place where some feel you are lying or making things up. The numerous times that cheaters have been able to pull off their ways without any repercussions or penalties is staggering and for a developer to turn a blind eye to it is lazy and unforgivable. But, that is what UBI does best and this game displays their obvious lack of care and abuse toward honest players.
Apparently they did not like my former post about how bad the cheating is on this game. They deleted it, so I dont expect to see my last post last much longer either. Good ol UBI. Taking the Bungie route right up to censorship of their user base opinions and suggestions of a game people have spent hard earned money on only to watch it fall apart by corporate greed and rampant cheating.
