I've recently reinstalled The Division 2 to play with my friends, but I've encounter a decent amount of issues while playing. These annoyances makes it unplayable majority of the time playing, especially when it comes to PvP encounters.
First issue I've encountered when I started playing for a good amount of time was constant frame drops and constant stuttering. I usually get 90+ fps on low settings but it just seems to stutter any settings I have. I checked task manager which I saw my CPU at 100% load. I looked up ways to avoid this and one of the ways was to change from DX11 to DX12. It helped stopped the stuttering for most part and lowered the CPU load a bit.
Switching to DX12 lead to different issues which of those are slow loading times and textures and NPCs not loading in time once I get to a certain area too fast. I wouldn't mind this too much but the game has it's own countermeasures to prevent you going into untextured areas by slowing you down and wait for the textures to load before sprinting or even jogging again. Lastly, sometimes NPCs and even some players don't even load and just makes it difficult for me to know where they're at to shoot back. What's odd about this was I have The Division 2 installed in my NVMe M.2 drive. I installed it into that drive for faster loading times but I'm getting the opposite results. Along with this issue, my game manages to freeze which I have to end the task and relaunch the game a couple times.
Specs:
CPU: i7-6700k
RAM: 16GB
CPU: GTX 1070 Strix OC
Storage: NVMe M.2 Samsung 970 EVO
Just looking at ways to fix these issues since I'm just tryna enjoy the game and not try to uninstall it again. Thanks B)
