However people who state that you meet hackers every game and that cheating is at a high point are jokes and cant be taken seriously.

Your problem is that you are incorrectly mixing up your terminology. You need to use the correct language and the right words or you come off as being purposefully deceptive.

Slyrr was not talking only about "hackers" as your comment implies. What he said was that he was talking about "
hacks, cheats, macros and scripts". If you look at all the matches in Siege where players are using recoil scripts, or melee macros, or any of the many different cheats that are readily available all over the internet ... to the point you can just get them on YouTube channels ... then Slyrr is absolutely 100% correct to say that the vast majority of Siege matches are plagued with "cheating". Since cheating INCLUDES all the above things (macros, scripts, cheats, and ... yes ... HACKS), then he's right.

Now - if you choose to confine your definition of "cheats" to ONLY talk about "hacks" then you are choosing to look at arguably the smallest part of the problem. The problem is cheating. Hacks are probably the least problematic aspect of cheating because they tend to be easily spotted, flashy, and obvious. But the cheating that is ruining the game is not hacking. It's macros, scripts, ghosting, walling, and other cheats that are both easy to get, easy to use, and harder to spot.

The first step towards a solution has to be a proper understanding of the real problem ... so when you discuss cheating you can't pretend that the only people cheating are hackers. Someone who thinks that is living in total denial.

The people who actually have a multiplicity of 'game enhancement modules' installed are usually the ones who come to these forums whining that it's 'not cheating'. If you've got anything installed in Siege, above and beyond the native game files? It's a cheat. That does include hacks, scripts, macros, anything that wasn't actually written, installed, and sanctioned by UBI. If it modifies or alters the game in ANY way, shape, or form - it's cheating.

If players can't play within the constraints of the actual game interface, controls and settings? They shouldn't be playing at all.

Even if you do not factor cheating, etc. there is not that big a difference in speed and armor. Speed is easy, just go THunt so everyone starts in the same spot, watch a number of people pick 2 and 3 speeds then compare how fast they move from the same spawn, little difference. Armor seems the same way.

Now add in look at total operators and divide them up into speed/armor groups. Right now
5 Attackers and 8 Defenders have 3 speed
21 Attackers and 13 Defenders have 2 speed
3 Attackers and 8 Defenders have 1 speed
Attackers are extremely generic with so many 2-2s, Defenders are almost even with just under half being 2-2s.

With so many 2-2s and little difference in speed and armor effects, why did they bother with the speed / armor stuff at all? Just make everyone 2-2.

I've pretty much quit as well. I haven't uninstalled Siege yet because I am waiting to give them one last chance to make good on their long-promised but never-delivered cheating solution. They have routinely promised, "Yes, we're totally working on it and we have big plans!" without ever really giving any real information on what they're going to do to fix the cheats, scripts, xims, and all the other exploits that ruin every online match (not to mention the smurfing).

So I will let the game languish on my hard drive until such time as Ubi finally reveals whatever 'fix' they claim to have been working on. That being said, I haven't played the game in a month and quite frankly I haven't missed it. Every match was an exercise in annoyance watching all the cheating going on and all the smurfing and the routine butchering of the tactical "Rainbow" aspect of the game in favor of Ubi's slavish and blind devotion to Pro League Bomb In a Box Map only gameplay. And as far as I'm concerned, Siege is on a clock. If Ubisoft doesn't roll out a major fix that VASTLY improves the cheating situation by mid-2021? Yeah - I'm deleting it. Sad, really, but Ubi and their idiotic Pro League Only myopia have only themselves to blame.

HWID & IP lock player accounts to one account/ game copy per PC and this cuts the smurfing and cheating problem by 90% instantly

You are the one who is delusional, and or probably cheating yourself. There is this thing called "closet cheating". It's common knowledge. People who do bad things that have repercussions don't exactly advertise they are doing said bad things, but instead go out of their way to hide that they are doing bad things. It's common knowledge that cheaters will do very well, then suddenly suck (often times throwing the game into a tie state for extra points). It's common knowledge that they typically aim away before snapping to your head mem offsets within 3-5 pixels and doming you a$$, it's also common knowledge that they like to spam "ez" "you're just bad" "i'm not cheating" and when throwing a generalized statement such as "nice walls" or "i see what you're doing" the 1 out of the 3 they are stacked with will usually reply giving himself away. It's not hard to run software to parse killcams, it's not hard to get dpi when they shoot you out of the killcams, or even pull the ping from both users off the scoreboard to be able to differentiate normal human reaction times (yes, most of these people are half of some of the fastest/pro level gamers who have had their reaction times tested and posted via linus) and it's certainly not hard to grab pixel deviation from from point of flash (bullet fired) to how quickly and how soon the reticle is centered back onto the head mem offset. Getting really tired of people like you defending these clowns. Pretty much every account I've ran into that would normally be labeled a "smurff" (common terminology used for new accounts claiming to be plat/diamon etc) who aren't actually smurfing, but burning up another account because their main was banned in the first place. It's easily a 9/10 games you will encounter a cheater, it's almost always a 2-2 tie game, they almost always keep around a 1.0+ k/d, 50% win rate and when they DO get killed, it's because they were either too slow, died on purpose, or there was a latency issue/hit reg issue.

Honestly, this game CAN be fun, but it still needs A LOT of work. There still needs to be proper balancement, either when it comes to ops or weapons. Ash has been an issue since release, with so many players dying to her, when she should have been the one to die, because she still doesn't have a ******* proper hitbox. Not only has she recently got buffed (and thankfully they at least took away her flashbangs), she also is a "Jack of all trades". Her R4C has almost unexistant recoil, a good mag size, really high dmg and fire rate. But if she at least had a hitbox, the weapon itself would only need a slight nerf. On the other hand, the new op you can see on the right, Aruni, well... They decided it was a good idea to have a new op with the two most undecent weapons in the game. The P10 Roni is a weapon that has too many drawbacks, it deals less damage than Mute's MP5K, which used to be the least damaging weapon in all Siege, has got a lot of recoil (even with attachments to lower it) and the mag size is just a joke (20 rounds). It can be good for headshots, sure. IF you are playing on PC and IF you run into one player at a time. Her other weapon, Dokkaebi's Mk14 EBR is not that bad of a weapon, being a DMR. But in a game where fire rate and automatic weapons mean so much, you can see where it goes. That weapon is the main reason why Dokkaebi is pretty much never used, in the first place. They have some good ideas, but some things that could be easily thought from other folks, like me, who are not devs or programmers, may never see the light. Though those very same ideas could make the game better and improve some ops. And yes, cheating in this game is much more present than people who call you delusional for it would like to admit. You don't know how many times I've hit headshots on people who didn't even know I was there, yet I was the one to die. When blood comes out of their bodies, because you hit them, but they kill you and you see they didn't lose a single point of their hp... Something's wrong, and it isn't Ddos alone.

Ye sure I am cheating... And everyone you are playing on silver elo is cheating. Every flick is someone aimbotting and if someone drones you behind a wall and sprays through it... Obvious wallhack. But obviously the people only cheat in the gunfights against you. They keep their K/D low and dont try to rank up.
How could anyone disagree with this solid arguement?

The game is so crap that they need to go back to the drawing board... the hit reg is horrendous, not to mention the **** killcam and lousy weapons that stop people using certain operators.
