    I was thinking. I wonder if I could somehow have my Ubisoft Connect account deleted and make a new account. That should get rid of that completed challenge, right?

    I don't think that is advisable, and you will lose all your rewards (across all Ubisoft titles) that you've redeemed with that Ubisoft Connect account, whether free, or purchased with Club Units.

    Community Challenges are weekly events of which there are currently 3 in progress.

    It's more than likely there will be another challenge with 500 Red Shards in a weeks' time.

    For example, yesterday I completed the Eye on You (Defeat Cyclopes) Community Challenge (500 Red Shards)

    So you're now affected by the same thing?

    I assume it will get back to normal if I can just struggle through the elites that are now in the early game?

    You only get the Red Shards (or the other rewards from the Community Challenges) if you claim them via Ubisoft Connect (phone app or in-game)
    You can simply leave the Red Shards unclaimed until you are stronger

    Well yeah, but it's kinda too late for that now. Once you claim them, they are permanently in your game no matter how many times you start over.

    I'm thinking regardless of whether you complete those challenges or not, everyone will have 500+ shards in their game eventually.

    You have to connect to the internet regardless eventually if you want all of your ingame rewards like the Gold Edition content.

    So as a temporary workaround, I think you could start a new game completely offline(so it won't add the shards to your inventory). Then play the game normally offline until you are at a point where you're comfortable with your gear and upgrades. Then connect online again to get all the ingame bonuses and the shards shouldn't matter too much anymore.

    Hey! I just wanted to let you guys know that I decided to boot the game up today for the first time since January just for the heck of it in hopes that this issue was fixed, and I was extremely surprised that it actually was. Apparently it was fixed back in the May 1.3.1 update.

    I just wanted to say thank you so much!!! I figured this would never get fixed, but now I can finally play this amazing game!!!
