Gryphon is strong, easy to play and easy to do well with, for sure. And of course he can be annoying from time to time. That is true. If you hate the hero because of this (or because of any other reason) that's completely fine.
However, don't hate the people playing him, just because they play him. Everyone have preferences and opinions, play styles according to which they choose themselves heroes to play with. They shouldn't be hated and called monkeys, just because they like Gryphon. Respect each other (at least minimally) people.
And before anyone "accuses"" me that I'm a Gryphon main (what a sin), I'm a rep 46 Lawbringer main and I wasn't planning to stop playing with him until rep 70 and beyond.
IMO it's good to have strong heroes in For Honor. They shouldn't be nerfed (considerably). Instead the other weaker heroes should be buffed. We have 7 heroes in the upcoming TG, so I'm optimistic.

I respectfully agree with Csodaszarvas_G. Playing Gryphon doesn't necessarily mean that the player is a bad person. I think it's posible that a Gryphon main and a Gryphon hater are best friends, and who knows, maybe the complainants here would have fun whith a Gryphon player if they would meet in person. It is completly outrageous (and sad) to judge people by something so insignificant like which hero they play in For Honor. It's on the same level like hating someone just because his/her eyes are brown or he/she comes from another nation. It's disappointing.
If somoeone likes Gryphon's playstile, moveset etc...go for it. It's the same for any hero. Like Nobushi? Play Nobushi. Like Warden? Get out to the virtual battlefield and chop some heads off as Warden. Like whatever hero? Play him/her. Nobody becomes a bad person for doing what he/she likes. Me for example... I don't play Gryphon, I don't even own him, because I prefer heavy heroes (Conqueror, BP, mostly Warlord). Maybe someone does not like heavy heroes, because he/she prefers actoin, dodge attacks etc. It's fine, choose a hero accordinly.
Besides you surely understand that it is exactly the same thing wich makes Gryphon annoying and fun to play. He's easy to handel, to play, to master. The key word here is EASY. Everyone who reads this, please look into yourself, and think about the following. For any situation/problem what solution would you approve?
The answer is, the simplest. The easiest. It's true for work, for studies, for exams...really for anything, even for video games. Everyone likes easy, I definitely do. People tends to work towards the minimal amount of investment while getting the best results. It's human nature, this is how we work from the beginning. And it's not good or bad, it just is.
So please good people ask yourselves, is it right to brand people bad, for playing Gryphon? In my humble opinion it doesn't. It is not right morally neither logically.

And he is not that bad, when I play Black Prior, I f... them up so badly they indeed feel like senile geezers in sandals (seriously, wtf is that sandal? That is more irritating than the feats. I don't care how much he respects other cultures, there is nothing respectful in sandals).
