Thats how you sound right now.

If you strugle to parry his 600ms dodge attack that always comes from the same side and cant be feinted, well then I would say you need a lot more training.

Not to mention that his dodge attacks have also 600ms of recovery so you telling garbage here

The mix up is fine how it is not needing to nerf it only because we got the normal crying part of the community complain without even really having proper knowledge over Gryphon let alone the game I have the feeling.
Also, if it's me that needs "more training" how come I am seeing Gryphons dominate every single game they play? Go look up some of these players statistics! The people dominating with this guy are absolutely trash. Yet some how, I play dom games with these gryphons that have 18, 22, 31 Takedowns! It's ridiculous. Console players don't stand a chance. You're wrong, homie. Gryphon is super OP.

They have nerfed every hero after release. Jorm has nerfed into the ground, warmonger just got nerfed, prior got a nerf.. just to name a few. They intentionally release an OP hero so that everyone pays the 8 bucks to troll with them and then they make them more reasonable. It's a pattern. This time, they have ruined the game. They went too far. Play 4 Gryphons in Dom, I will bet my savings account that you lose the game. Kick spam with gryphon was just the replacement for the nerf that made LB reasonable. They know it's going to piss everyone off.
But he really isn't that strong. That's where you are facing some backlash. I'm a chump too I guess, but I buy every dlc this game comes out with.

I absolutely hate Conq cuz he's just a BS hero. I enjoy Gryphon because he is not.

I also don't mind fighting against Gryphon.

I don't think you realize that For Honor gets balanced based on the PC experience and on PC where the frames are higher and the input latency is almost non existent, the problems you speak of don't really exist. PC For Honor is a completely different experience than For Honor on PS4 or Xbox One.

That being said, the NEXT GEN version of For Honor (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) is almost identical to the PC experience.

I had my Series X ready to go for the next gen upgrade that dropped with Gryphon's release and I don't find him that OP. I think there is some relation here.

I stopped playing entirely for a month or so just waiting for the next gen upgrade because the game was unplayable at 30fps and that input latency was awful.

I suggest checking youtube for some videos on guys countering Gryphon and see what you're doing wrong. I also suggest giving For Honor a try on PC or getting a next gen console when you can (I know they are in very limited supply, I got super lucky and my wife actually snagged it for me as I was heading to work LOL)

When a new hero is released, they ALWAYS dominate for a time. This isn't new. It also isn't necessarily due to new heroes being OP.

When a new hero is released, no one knows how to counter them effectively. This is how things go in ALL fighting games.

That being said, sometimes it is only the feats that are broken like Warmonger at release. Her moveset was fine right from the start, her feats were not.

Gryphon may need some tweaks, but what you're seeing is not new. Every new hero dominates simply because they are new.

Some people though Zhanhu was too strong at first, but we now know he is WEEEAAAAK.

Gryphon is a little tricky, but with some practice, you will prevail.

I agree with you completely, people just don't understand his playstyle and want something to complain about, when I go against high ranked people I BARELY WIN or they demolish me while I'm using gryphon, for the fact I haven't gotten him down all the way either. One of the hardest characters I faced is Shaolin believe it or not. Honestly feel like they took their time with the playstyle they made. Don't see a reason to change any of his playstyle, other than I'd rather be able to feint my dodge attack and it be able to be GB . He has no hyper armor and his attacks are slow enough to block or parry, it's very hard to face players that have figured out his playstyle already. And I'm tired of hearing about his kick being too fast when every character I face except for shugoki and hatorki will dodge it . And something I noticed after a dodge attack, if you decide to go for the undodgeable light instead of the kick it always goes to the opposite side that I dodged with gryphon. Which means it's predictable after a dodge attack.

Dude the hero is new, it always looks like this for a good month or two even for characters like jorm which are a total dumpster fires of design.

Look up his numbers, properties, dmg and stamina drain / dmg in the comp infohub all of it is perfectly fine and everyone with game knowledge and common sense can see that. (The only problem are his feats)

Also we mainly balance after the Pc experience so this console argument as always is just null and void.

Maybe it is just me, but I do not see Gryphons dominating more than other S tier 4v4 heroes. However, you will obviously see more players, possibly really good ones, switching to this character, while Warmonger is only played by the people really into her.

Check out Faraam's channel- he made Hitokiri and Jormungandr videos last year on their release, and he had many Warmonger videos on release. But he does not like them too much, so he is not playing them anymore. That is how many people like to play. I unlocked Zhanhu last year, had a couple of duels with her, found the Chinese extremely irritating to listen to and the hero not too fun to play, and I abandoned it.

Also, there are heroes like Aramusha who were always thrash, even on release, and you could find many Aramusha ragequit videos on his release, because you have to develop experience to understand the character.

The 3rd feat needs to be slower though, because it is completely unreactable, even compared to Berserker's axe (not to mention Peacekeeper's crossbow, which is hilariously slow, a bit slower would mean realistic reload). And heals should not cleanse bleed obviously.
