We have been trying to connect the game to a smartphone using the QR code, however the app keeps claiming that the phone and the console are not on the same WIFI network (they are).
Can anyone offer some suggestions to get the game to connect? Are we missing something?
Hey there guys!
KoppertKids - I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues connecting your Just Dance Controller App to your console. Can you please let me know which make/model smartphone you use?
ALiEN2108 - I'm sorry to hear you feel this way. Please be assured that our team require these additional images to help them to investigate the issue further, and why your devices aren't connecting correctly. I would recommend providing the requested images so our team can take a closer look at the issue you're encountering. Please note that we would need an image of your IPv4 address on both your console and mobile device.
Thanks!
Hello there guest-vJ4wZ0Sl! Welcome to the forums.
I'm sorry to hear this. Please rest assured that our team are investigating this issue further. They would be interested in collecting some images from you, if possible.
Please can you open a support ticket? You can reach our support teams here:
- Open a Support case
- Start a Live chat
- Twitter and Facebook
Once you have opened a support ticket, please can you attach the following images, as these will assist in the investigation:
- An image of your phone's IPV4 Address. You can find this by doing the following:
Navigate to Settings > Select Wi-Fi > Select the blue i icon on the Wi-Fi network you're connected to > Screenshot so that all of the IPV4 Address info is shown.
- An image of your console's IPV4 Address. You can find this by doing the following:
Press the Xbox button on your controller > Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings > Advanced settings.
Thanks!
Same case from me, cannot connect to the game through iphone. Both in same subnet (console and iphone), i have tried wirelss and ethernet - same outcome. Ontop i cannot open ticket... they have bug in the support as well... dont know how we can get our money back
I also tried port forward, DMZ but still no luck.
Purchased JD 2021 as a gift on the x box series x. All devices in same wireless network with no connection issues to the web. Over 150mbs down and 30mbs up. Tested on all devices.
Downloaded JD Connect App for iOS as per on screen instructions QR code.
Then followed steps and selected JD 2021 entered the pairing code and the app just appears to load with circle rotating and comes up asking me if I have connected your smartphone and platform to same network. The answer is yes and continues to try and connect with no positive results. The final message then appears stating we are unable to connect your smartphone. Something isn’t set correctly
I’ve tried everything, power cycling. Rebooting iPhones cold restarts and even Xbox....tried wired and wireless connections to same network...
I have tried the app on multiple devices with no successes
Your support faqs are not helpful at all as most seem to be for early versions of this game. I am really disappointed at the lack of documentation and steps to try and resolve this, even posting a support ticket is a challenge as it seems to state chat is the only option which is not available!!!!!
Is there a massive issue with supporting this on the new Xbox or something?
I have the same issue. I just bought Just Dance 2021 and a Xbox Series S as a Christmas gift. When I started it I was asked to download JD Controller on my phone to pair it with the game, by entering the code provided in the game. I tried with both an iPhone XR and iPhone SE without success. I get no connection, it's timing out when I try to pair the phone.
- Yes, we are on the same wifi (tried with the Xbox both wired and connected to wifi)
- Yes, I have restarted both the Xbox and the app in the phone and retried
- I have tried multiple times, it's not possible to pair
- I used the QR code on the screen to download the app. Got a link which directed me to the app in App Store.
Huge disappointment. Instead of having a nice evening gaming with the family I spent hours trying to solve this in frustration. When can we expect a fix for this?
