Game downloads 19+Gig of information a few times a month?

I've had this game for years and I recently got back into playing it. However I've noticed that, two or three times a month, it will download anywhere between 19-35Gig worth of files. I check the Wildlands News section to see if there are any updates that can justify such a large file size but there are none.

I have noticed little things in-game, as of late, such as terrain textures flickering and also it takes me about 2 minutes longer than everybody else to re-locate on the map. As in it loads faster for my other teammates than it does for me, when we load into a different area, need to restart mission, etc.

These minor issues may just be down to other things though. My computer is more than powerful enough to run this game on Ultra but I know the game can be temperamental at times. Still great fun to play though!

Currently I'm re-installing the entire game to see if that helps at all. Could it have something to do with that fact that I originally purchased the game but then got UPlay+ and playing with "Ultimate" version that's confusing it/the game files? Are there updates that Ubisoft make without mentioning it on their feed? Regardless I'm re-installing it, which is going to take an extremely long time, but I feel that this game is worth it and there are other things to do during the interim

    Thanks for your time!

Today's 19GB patch is to remove the muppet Predator mission. One hopes there's actually more to it than that given the size. I can't speak to the other downloads you've seen because I've not experienced that issue myself.

    Hey there guys!

You can read more about the size of the last patch here.

In this case, the size of this patch is due to the nature of Ghost Recon Wildlands being an open world game.

If you're encountering performance issues, I'd also recommend trying the steps on this troubleshooting article. In particular, I'd ensure that your drivers are fully up-to-date, and that any background applications are disabled.

If you encounter any further issues, please feel free to reach out! Thanks!
