Striker: Make the TWO piece bonus 15% rate of fire. I guarantee half the dps players would play a two piece.
Remove the penalty for missing shots and just have it decrease over time unless you keep hitting.
This one goes for ALL gear sets. Put the two secondary attributes back on the chest and backpack to really encourage people to run them and not make it so penal to run a set.
Iuse my tip of the spear build a lot. Its incredibly effective against black tusk wathounds and mini tanks. And can clear rooms in seconds. With the demo grenade launcher.Originally Posted by N3mB0t Go to original post
A 40% damage boost to all weapon damage is incredibly strong to my AR easily pops 500k crits while aggressive recon is up...
Anywayssss
As for fixing those 3.
Strikers id remove the penalty for misses and jus thave it deteriorate over time as someone else already suggested. By the time a bad guy os killed fro man automatic weapon unless you have nanosecond reflexes you've already emptied another half clip and lost most of your stacks. Along with various cliping issues that exist in the game where objects are bigger rthan they appear. You shoot over a bench but hit an invisible wall type thing just above the bench. ... so many issues cripple this set..
Ongoing directive. Just needs more hollow point ammo and the ability to carry more of it than a single magazine. would help offset against mechs and proxies.. which often eat your hollowpoints but never return any.
Maybe change it so the bleed is applied before the damage. Especiallynif you play marksmanship or something like the nemesis. Where 1 shot can kill an enemy outright. If the blood procced before the damage thay shot would at least generate more ammo.
I also kind of preferred it when younhad to pick hollowpoints up as you could essentially choose which weapon you wanted them in regardless of which weapon got the kill.
The old backpack talent was quite good as well. Except that 9t often wasted hollowing ammo as you'd collect 3 or 4 when you reloaded but only get 1. Butn8f they increased the amount you could carry that would be largely resolved. I kinda liked ongoing but found the hollowpoints to just be to restrictive only carrying 30 rounds doesn't do much against mini tanks and such...
For striker i would buff the weapon handling to at least 50%, since its a more assault rifle oriented gearset, 15%wh is nothing compared to the loss of damage for sacrificing attributes, buff 5% more rpms and lower the penalty on loosing the stacks by missing. In console is hard to not miss shots
i think the problem for Od is not the gearset itself, but the insane amount of bleed resistance npcs have, they can be bleeding by a tier 6 hive and still be running and shooting like nothing, maybe if the bleed affected npcs tha way affect the players, OD would be really strong
the problem with all gearsets is that you have to sacrifice too many secondary attributes for talents that are not strong enough to be worth using them (with some exceptions like hunters fury or negotiators)
for fixing system corruption i would give it like some kind of armour regen for a limited time and skill immunity for 5 to 10 seconds when using the talent, plus a little bit more weapon damage. The pulse resistance and armour on kill are not enough bonuses for a so hard to get gearset, maybe if it was full pulse resistance and more armour on kill but the way it is now is just weak
I've actually been thinking about this a lot. Sets operate at a pretty significant disadvantage in terms of raw Attributes, and so the set bonus REALLY needs to make up for that. Otherwise, what's the point?Originally Posted by esteban17 Go to original post
Even though I really do like using 3pc Strikers, I've been giving serious consideration to just swapping out for 3 pieces of Brand gear. I think overall my enjoyment of having faster rate of fire will just be outperformed by the brand bonus + 3 extra attribute slots.
I would remove skill haste from the Rigger gear set. Having skill haste on a gear set with zero cool downs is stupid. Yeah, I said it. lol
While we're at it, make the Rigger chest better than Kinetic Momentum.
Rigger might not be the worst set but it has some of the stupidest talents and attributes.
I actually completely agree with this. Skill Haste on Rigger makes zero sense.Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
When I hear the word Rigger I think of a character who makes their vehicles and remotely piloted items better. This is from playing table top RPGs like Shadowrun or FFG's Star Wars RPG. What I would do is make the Rigger set be a skill buffing set. Not sure what the perks would be. Perhaps Skill Duration and Health for the 2 and 3 piece bonus. Have no idea what the 4 piece bonus would be. Maybe the ability to use 2 of the same skill? I'd love to be able to use 2 Striker Drones at the same time. As for the Chest and Backpack talents? No idea what those could be.Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
Two of the same skill would be amazing. THAT is an idea I that I think would be tons of fun.Originally Posted by Zathras23 Go to original post
I put a bit of thought into what the backpack and chest piece talents might be for the revamped Rigger set:
2 piece bonus: +10% Skill Health
3 piece bonus: +10% Skill Duration
4 piece bonus: Able to run 2 of the same skill at the same time.
Backpack: Skills are in permanent Overcharge with a -50% Skill Duration penalty (The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long. - Lao Tzu).
Chestpiece: Reduce the Skill Duration penalty from -50% to -25%.
Just spitballing here.
Skill Haste on Rigger is dumb, I agree. When you get mckrackin, sircowdog and myself to all agree on something, that’s really a testament to how bad of an idea it is.
System Corruption needs a lot of love, but for starters, the armor kit needs to come back in 12 seconds (8 with the vest). Additionally, it should have the damage buff be 1% amplified damage per 1% bonus armor, capping at 20%. (Bonus) Armor on Kill needs to last 10 full seconds also. This set really is so underpowered when you compare it to Hunter Furry, and other options out there now.
