    Gryphon is really strong

A lot of pepole say he's B tier or A tier at most but he's easily s tier or to me he's the most op and broken charachter in the game. He has three different things he can do for one mix up and he has all the diffrent tools in the game except bleed. If he misses a kick then he can just doge attack leaving him open for a very short amount of time and even if you attempt to doge his light is undogable. I would like to hear any body elses opinion but it's gonna be very difficult to change my mind espically if you're thing is just to react to it because it is unreachable at least most of his stuff

He lacks any kinda of unblockable pressure.

    His neutral shove is 600ms.

He needs to throw atleast two attacks to use the kick and the tracking ain’t that good on the 500ms kick.

He currently just kicking everyone because we are not used to him, tho when we are then B Tier seems like the right place for him.

You're given a reactionary GB if you dodge the kick. You clearly don't have a clue about the hero and just came here to complain.

You also only need to dodge once to get the kick which it being the old JJ dodge... its quite easy to actually thrash people.

And yea his shove is pretty bad but the speed of his attacks, the untelegraphed heavies/lights as you never know which one it is, the amount of damage he does with his -extremely- fast heavies. The free top heavy off of the fast kick is way too strong. Unblockable pressure? Yea he doesn't have any but he has his own kind of pressure.

Except JJ dodge attack is feintable and softfeintable. Gryphon's is a free parry from neutral.

    He is like Warmonger.

Both characters have everything except a soft feint & crushing counters.

Difference is unlike Warmonger, Gryphon does not have a charged bash or any unblockable finisher [as mentioned above].

Is it strange how I'm just laughing at the OP or are there just that many bad players in the game...

In all seriousness, Gryphon isn't S tier. I would go as far as saying he may be a viable pick in comp, but he doesn't have any busted moves or even useless moves. He has a kick mixup, his finishing lights are undodgeable, and his finishing heavies have decent tracking.

If his light finishers weren't undodgeable, then they wouldn't work. Valkyrie suffers from this since her lights and sweep can be dodged on one timing. Her finishing heavies only catch people who dodge on light timing, and can't catch people with lots of I-frames.

Gryphon doesn't have every move in the game. He has HA only on his finishing heavies and after a parry and has a neutral shove that actually doesn't work that well as far as I know, but can continue chains even if whiffed or missed.

He doesn't have superior lights or deflects and can't feint his dodge heavies. He also doesn't have any unblockable attacks.

He has three different options for his kick mixup. A lot of characters have three different options for one mixup. If you dodge the kick you get a free GB. You just need to practice and get better at the game.

The consistent feedback that I've seen over the past week or so is that Gryphon's kick is too fast and deals damage that can essentially be achieved for free without the player having to do too much.

Adding this thread to my dev notes so I appreciate you all sharing!
