A great read, Hugo. If I may offer a critique?

I enjoyed the setting of Wildlands, where the objective was to slowly dismantle the cartel. This could lend itself to overthrowing a corrupt regime, or perhaps a terrorist organisation that had control of a region of country not willing to oust it.
Or maybe a story inspired by Clancy himself, based off the ‘Sum of all fears’ premise?
Many of the Jack Ryan stories & movies would be a good study for the Dev team. Even the Jack Ryan series on Amazon are worth a look. Particularity the getting the concept of the CIA doing the analyzing the intel and then using the Ghosts to execute any special military action required. Be it search and rescue, further intel gathering, demolition/sabotage etc. Wildlands kind of gave us this experience when working with Bowman in Bolivia. There were certainly areas of improvement though such as a more real world type of delivery when it came to briefings. Example: instead of getting a gimmicky video with lots of camera angels & unnecessary digital effects that were just for show, how about just a call over the radio to meet at a safehouse and get a one on one briefing with a character like Bowman or an informant?
Clothes should have a thermal rating. Camouflage should aid or hinder stealth dependant on the terrain. (And that shouldn’t be restricted to gaining a bonus for wearing jungle camo in the jungle, but could also carry a penalty for wearing camo in a urban environment).
I think the penalty for not wearing the recommended camouflage or color pallet for a specific region would simply be a 0 added bonus to detection avoidance for the majority of the remaing colors and camos to choose from. However certainly some pallets are warranted for becoming spotted, specifically brighter colors when wearing red among the evergreens or trekking through the snow. It might work well in the autumn environment however. Oh wouldn't it be interesting to experience seasons in Ghost Recon?
Rebels and civilians.
Every time we intervene to help a civilian being persecuted or held captive by the enemy, the rebel strength increases. Every time we hijack a civilian car or allow a civilian to get caught in the crossfire, it goes down.
This could be twinned with a system where we can heal downed civilians or choose to ‘compensate’ the local populace by seeking out civilian contacts and essentially buying back some of the lost support.
One thing I think Breakpoint should have done was when rescuing VIPs or prisoners in faction missions, they would at least give intel for another faction mission in the area. I mean, it's a bit of an empty feeling, getting them to the extraction point and not knowing what plans the enemy were using these people for.
Vehicles
Vehicles need fuel and vehicle weapons use ammunition. This should be included.
Ok, but keep in mind that road vehicles take different fuels based on their engine build, and aircraft fuel is it's own special blend as well. I'm just curious if we'll have to drive an APC full of equipment through the country side and pull up to a local gas station for some diesel?
AI team commands
Obviously, these need to be vastly improved, with detailed orders available to individual team members. I’ll say no more than that as it’s been covered many times in the past.
The devs should certainly give AI teammates driving capabilities Even if unable to drive a player around, they should at least be able to follow in another vehicle if the player takes a 2 door or bike. One of Wildlands abd Breakpoints huge immersion breakers is arriving in a 2 door with a rescued civilian riding passenger, getting out and the 3 AI teammates just magically appear after you left them miles away. AI Teammates following a player in a separate vehicle was accomplished in SOCOM 3 on a gen 2 console We're going on gen 5 now.
