    Cannot Complete 'IN the absence of an ealdorman' quest

    The game won't let me complete the quest "in the absence of an ealdorman".

    I've reached a cellar in a castle and I can't interact with the weirdy foot washing person, or the corpse, or anything in the room.

    I must have visited the castle earlier? I read something about a brooch via google searches (?)

    If I can't complete this questline, I assume I can't finish the Order of Ancients questline.

    Pretty effing angry.

    I am sure you are referring to Assassin's Creed: Valhalla rather than Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, therefore in this instance, please note that we have dedicated Valhalla's forums that you can find here.

    As far as the issue goes, I can confirm that we received a number of player contacts about not being able to complete 'In the Absence of an Ealdorman' and it is currently under investigation by our development team.

    In the absence of an ealdorman quest

    Picked up the Hundbeorhtís Brooch prior to starting the quest now canít progress. Any way to fix it?

    Canít interact with the letter

    Yes, I also have a problem. I canít interact with the letter in investigate the scene. Itís also saying that the key for the door is still in the water!

    Can't complete In the Absence of an Ealdorman quest.

    This quest is stuck for me. I reached the cadaver and the caretaker and picked up the Broach, but now the quest won't progress to the next stage.

    I have the PS4 version of the game and my PS4 ID is capkris.

    It's been 30 days since it's been posted about the bug on Reddit.. 30 days !!!

    I've been stuck at this for 2 weeks and it's my last arc, and literally nothing else to do in the game.
