I have a L30, World-Tier 5 character that was created before WoNY. Attempting to change difficulty looks like it works initially, but the difficulty reverts to "Normal".
Steps to reproduce
- Fast travel to mission
- Change difficulty to anything other than normal
Expected result
- Difficulty selection is displayed, player is able to start mission
Actual result
- Difficulty selection reverts to normal, player is NOT able to start mission - as in running into the mission area does not start it.
Other information
- This was replicated by two other people, one with a L30 boosted character, one with a leveled L26 character
- Invaded missions can be started, but difficulty cannot be selected
- Selecting difficulty from the mega-map works
- Difficulty selection at mission location and on mega-map works for L40 character
I'm one of the players dagrommit indicated with this problem.
My level 24 character can start missions he has not done at all but cannot replay already played missions. Nothing happens when selecting replay on any difficulty.
My level 30 boosted character can not start any mission. Nothing happens when choosing a difficultly or selecting replay.
My level 30 boosted can play invaded missions but cannot chose a difficulty. Will play on default normal.
After some more testing if difficulty is selected from the map by holding default 'G' it will enable the mission. However traveling to the mission you still cannot change the difficulty in 3rd person view.

I'm re-posting my video here demonstrating this bug (and "solution") since its always asked for by Ubisoft.
The following demonstrates how missions cannot be started, or their difficulties changed, using the menu within the open world. Missions can however only be started, and have their difficulties, changed by using the world map.

for my video capture
It works fine for L40 characters. It's only a problem for L30 and below.Originally Posted by bl2bl2 Go to original post
