Ghost Recon Wildlands will not launch

Good Day all, I am reaching out because I am at a lose on what else to try. Every time I click play, the game begins to sync and then instantly crashes with no crash report.

    I have attempted the following:

    Verified game files (multiple times)
    Complete reinstall
    Cleared Ubisoft Cache
    Repaired Easy Anti Cheat
    Repaired Vcredist x64
    Updated windows 10
Moving the game to the same drive as my OS
    Scanned hardrive for bad sectors

I am still unable to launch wildlands no matter what I try. I have played many times in the past and recently reinstalled in since I have a bigger hardrive, when it would not launch I moved it to my C drive which is an SSD where my OS is located.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Doubt any Ubi staff will ever see, let alone respond to your post. So suggest contact customer support directly here:

https://support.ubisoft.com/en-US (link is also at bottom of age)

    and request assistance.

Go to the CS site and submit a ticket. Unless you don't have that option for some reason. I did that just last night for a bug in Breakpoint.

Scroll all the way down to nearly the end of the page, after logging in.

When I get the cannot launch message, I quit the launcher and try again which always works. I'm unclear why Ubisoft haven't fixed this as it's been an issue for at least a year.

I contacted support with all the information and they are still trying to figure out what is wrong, since i already tried most things they did not even bother asking me to try the basics like they normally do XD there was an update yesterday for the game but it did not fix it. I will post here if I get it working.

    Hi Tman Delport

I'm having similar problems with Wildlands as well. Let me know what Ubisoft Support says.

    GOOD DAY ALL! IT WORKS!

After attempting a few suggestions from Ubisoft support this one worked:

"Since the issue may be related to a corrupted file within the games directory, or in a conflicting driver, could you please try to create a new Windows user profile as shown in the FAQ below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/...trator-account

Restart the PC in Safe mode, with networking, as shown in the FAQ below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/...c-in-safe-mode

And on the new user profile, please make sure you make a clean reinstall/install of the client Ubisoft Connect and the game, please make sure that the installation directory is on a different drive than the previous install was on, as the corrupted file may be inside and cause further issues with the game.

Also, please make sure, when making the download of the game from the launcher, to give it administrator rights, as this way we can make sure that the download is clean.

Afterwards, please try to run the game again."

Once It worked on that account I copied the files across to my main account and scanned the files and as I type this the game is playing its menu videos!

I hope this helps anyone else having this problem! and thanks for all the help guys!

    Hey there guys!

TmanDelport - Thank you for sharing what worked for you! I'm glad to hear you're able to play Ghost Recon Wildlands successfully.

As there can be several causes behind games crashing upon launch, I would recommend that you try our basic PC troubleshooting steps first, as these help to tackle common causes. In particular, I'd suggest ensuring that your drivers are fully up-to-date, and that you disable any background applications that may be interfering with the game files.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please can you open a support ticket so our team can take a closer look at your system files. You can reach our support teams here:
    - Open a Support case
    - Start a Live chat
    - Twitter and Facebook

When opening a support case, please attach an MSinfo and a DxDiag. Please also include all troubleshooting steps you have tried in your case notes, as this will help us to investigate further.

    Thanks!
