Yes and no, depends on the Gryphon, most pf the time there will be no second attack to dodge because he has a double hit like Warden, nor does he have to hit his attacks. After that you have to hope that the Gryphon did not catch on that you are about to dodge otherwise you will eat an undodgable light, GB or dodge attack and it will start over again.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
Im just baffled by Ubi at that point, everyone complains about how awful BP is to fight because he gets his bash after a light, and add a hero that can bash after a light for a confirmed heavy. Balanced/punishable or not you'd think they avoid that based on feedback.
Gryphon is literally B tier. He is not strong. If you have even the small amount of reaction speed, his kick is not an issue.Originally Posted by ChesterWeirder Go to original post
I mean, his feats land him squarely in A tier if we're talking comp viable. And also his kick isn't reactable as it's 500ms. Unless you mean the ways to his kick are reactable. Then yes i'd agree with your statement.Originally Posted by GayForShugoki Go to original post
Nothing about gryphon is fine. He's got a bunch off mix-ups and every tool in the game. His damage with all these mix-ups and all that is way too high and having an undogable ending light just allows light spam even more. Not too mention he can dodge attack making him have a very small window to counter anythingOriginally Posted by Csodaszarvas_G Go to original post
How much y'all wanna bet that most (not all) of the gryphon complaints are from Xbox One/PS4 players?
There are so many things about for honor that really aren't an issue on PC or a Next Gen Console, but are SERIOUS SERIOUS problems for previous gen consoles.
This game wasn't meant for 30fps and input lag. If you're on a console and haven't upgraded to next gen, then it isn't the new hero alone giving you issues.
Trust me. I played For Honor exclusively on Xbox One since its release. Over the years, the game has gotten faster and effectively worse for me over time.
That is, until I tried playing on PC after the CCU.
It was a totally different experience. I fell in love again. Then I discovered that on PC, it takes an average of 5 - 10 minutes to find a match and I fell out of love.
THEN, I managed to grab an Xbox Series X and I got the upgrade a few days ago upon the update, and WOW.
It's identical to my PC experience except with far superior matchmaking times. It's amazing.
The point is there's a reason why there are such wildly different opinions on balance and it's because For Honor simply fails on Xbox One and PS4.
